ImpactAs a Director of Data Science on our Marketplace Product team. You will manage consumer analytics and AI to lead a talented team of 7-10 data scientists. In this high-visibility leadership role, you will define the analytics vision and build next-generation, AI-powered capabilities that create seamless and intuitive consumer experiences.
As a Director of Data Science, you will combine technical depth with sound business judgment, acting as a key partner to the enterprise. You will champion a culture of customer obsession, leveraging advanced analytics to identify friction points and unlock new pathways for growth. A critical pillar of this role is leading our AI transformation: you will architect and scale agentic AI systems and GenAI workflows that not only elevate the consumer journey but also drive massive operational efficiency for the team.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful
  • Strategic Leadership: 5+ years of experience in analytics leadership and team management. Proven ability to grow high-performing teams and foster a data-driven culture.

  • AI & Agentic Expertise: Deep expertise in modern AI applications, with hands-on experience leveraging LLMs and agentic AI frameworks to automate workflows and optimize user experiences.

  • Technical & Analytical Depth: Strong background in statistical analysis, causal inference, and exploratory data analysis. Proficiency in Python, advanced SQL, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, ThoughtSpot).

  • Experimentation Rigor: Demonstrated experience designing measurement frameworks and leading high-volume product experimentation at scale.

  • Superb Communication: Exceptional executive presentation skills. You must be equally credible in deeply technical settings and when presenting clear, strategic conclusions to non-technical senior leadership.

  • Industry Experience: Previous experience working in e-commerce, digital marketplaces, or retail is a strong plus.

  • Education: Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field preferred.

Pay Range: $157,000 - $275,000

Please note that the salary range above is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
