The Impact you will have in this role:

Being a member of CISO team, you will Reporting to the head of Cyber Security Operations, you are responsible for leading Monitoring & Incident Response, Threat Hunt, and Insider Threat teams. As a senior manager, you provide strategic leadership to your team, empowering and developing first-line managers to carry out your directives. You apply your subject matter expertise as both a people manager and a cybersecurity expert to enhance DTCC’s ability to detect, investigate, and respond to cyber threats as well as provide key leadership in the event of a cybersecurity incident. As a senior member of Cyber Security Operations, you may be tasked with responding to cyber threats outside of normal work hours.

 

Your Primary Responsibilities:

  • Be accountable for the Defensive teams’ day-to-day and strategic performance.
  • Model appropriate behavior, demeanor, and tone for your team.
  • Align the team’s mission with internal goals, regulatory requirements, and industry standard methodologies.
  • Effectively delegate tasks, empower team members, and remove impediments to accomplish the mission and objectives.
  • Set and achieve high-quality goals and objectives for the team and work with managers to develop comprehensive individual goals that align with team goals.
  • Hire and retain high-quality team members that match the team’s mission and objectives.
  • Evaluate, train, mentor, and develop your team members to make them as successful as possible at DTCC.
  • Use metrics, feedback from team leaders, feedback from collaborators, threat intelligence, and industry guidelines to continuously evaluate and improve programs.
  • Develop key metrics and communicate progress to team members, senior leadership, regulators, and auditors.
  • Work with the CISO and senior leadership during crises to share information, inform key decisions, and run cyber security response activities for the firm.
  • Work with leaders throughout the company to support the CISO’s org and continuously improve security posture at the firm.
  • Identify and proactively partner with key team members to understand needs and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Create messaging, socialize team programs, represent Cyber Security Operations, and evangelize security at DTCC.
  • Be the escalation contact for on-call rotation and perform emergency after-hours work when needed.
  • Assume the duties of Acting Director of Cyber Security Operations when needed.
  • Regularly travel to conferences, training, and other DTCC offices (up to 30%).

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred and/or equivalent experience

Talents Needed for Success:

  • Have at least six years’ previous hands-on technical experience in cyber security operations, cyber defense, or other relevant cyber security roles and at least four years previous experience as a people manager.
  • Have experience leading multiple high-profile and time-sensitive initiatives simultaneously.
  • Have a balance between leadership and up-to-date relevant technical knowledge.
  • Demonstrate adaptability, a growth mindset, and superior crisis leadership skills.
  • Demonstrate superior tactical and strategic leadership by guiding teams through sophisticated technical tasks and projects, while setting quality goals, developing action plans, assigning tasks, measuring progress, motivating team members, and presenting updates to collaborators.
  • Demonstrate the ability to produce high quality written products including detailed analysis and recommendations.
  • Demonstrate high-quality public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to identify the appropriate audience and convey sophisticated technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences at the appropriate level.
     

The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
