The Role:

BrandCycle is seeking a strategic, execution-focused Director, Creator Acquisition, Retention & Marketing to lead the development and scale of our Creator recruitment, lifecycle, and retention efforts. This role is responsible for owning our day-to-day Creator acquisition and retention roadmap, as well as managing key talent agency relationships and shaping how BrandCycle shows up in the broader Creator economy. You’ll act as a key partner across partnerships, product, sales, and operations—defining how we position ourselves, grow our Creator base, and drive long-term engagement and loyalty.

This is a leadership role that requires both strategic vision and tactical execution. You will be responsible for creating scalable systems, measurable processes, and impactful marketing campaigns to support our business goals and ensure BrandCycle becomes the preferred affiliate marketing platform for Creators and their managers.

What You'll Do:Creator Recruitment & Talent Relations
  • Design and implement a scalable Creator recruitment strategy to support monthly growth goals
  • Build and manage relationships with influencer talent agencies, management firms, and representation networks to onboard high-performing creators
  • Identify and pitch BrandCycle’s unique value proposition to new Creator segments, driving adoption and activation
  • Develop and manage a referral program that incentivizes agencies and creators to bring others onto the platform
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve the onboarding experience and drive time-to-earn success for new Creators
Creator Retention, Lifecycle, and Engagement
  • Own the Creator lifecycle from onboarding to engagement, adoption, and long-term retention
  • Define key user journey stages and implement automated campaigns across email, in-app, push, and SMS to support each stage
  • Work closely with Product and Operations to identify gaps in education or adoption and create programs that address these pain points
  • Build and optimize Creator engagement playbooks, content cadences, and touchpoints to ensure consistent value delivery
  • Track and report on Creator retention KPIs, including active user rates, feature usage, and churn trends
External Marketing & Brand Positioning
  • Lead BrandCycle’s external marketing efforts targeting Creators, agencies, and the broader influencer ecosystem
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new Creator features, tools, and campaigns in partnership with product and engineering
  • Build awareness campaigns, thought leadership content, and educational events to strengthen BrandCycle’s position as a leader in Creator monetization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure Creator marketing is aligned with overall brand and company goals
  • Manage agency partnerships, media outreach, and speaking opportunities to elevate BrandCycle’s visibility in the space

Required Experience:

  • 7–10 years of experience in influencer marketing, Creator partnerships, agency/talent management, lifecycle marketing, or a related strategic growth role
  • 3–5 years in lifecycle, CRM, or retention marketing roles, ideally in a high-growth tech startup
  • Proven track record of building and scaling Creator recruitment and lifecycle programs within a tech, media, or affiliate marketing environment
  • Deep understanding of talent agency dynamics, Creator monetization models, and the influencer marketing landscape
  • Strong experience building and managing high-impact lifecycle campaigns (email, push, onboarding, adoption, retention) using modern marketing tools (e.g., Hubspot, Beehive, Klaviyo, Mailchimp)
  • Hands-on experience crafting and executing full-funnel marketing strategies—from awareness through activation
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret data and user behavior to inform strategy and drive outcomes
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities, with comfort operating in a fast-paced, startup-style environment

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior work with affiliate or e-commerce platforms
  • Experience leading go-to-market campaigns for product launches
  • Familiarity with tools like Canva, Figma, etc.
  • Comfortable presenting to executive leadership, agencies, and external partners

What Success Looks Like:

  • Creator growth targets are consistently met through new acquisition and agency referrals
  • Clear, measurable improvement in Creator engagement and retention metric
  • BrandCycle is recognized by Creators and talent managers as a top-tier partner in affiliate marketing
  • New product features are successfully launched with high Creator adoption
  • Creator community feels supported, heard, and educated at every stage of their journey

Compensation:

Our overall compensation and rewards package includes base pay, bonus or commission, and a variety of benefits. Base pay is determined within a range that allows you the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.  The anticipated annualized salary range for this role is $113,300 - $153,400 (this range may be modified in the future based on changing market conditions).  Your initial base pay will be determined based on several factors, including demonstrated skills, relevant education or training, experience, qualifications, travel requirements, and job location.
