What You’ll Do:

The CoreWeave CAO organization is a team of leaders that love solving problems and building for the future in a controlled, governed environment…all while having fun!  In the exciting, evolving world of AI technology, we support our business partners in making decisions, driving accurate, timely, and scalable accounting operations and reporting. We pride ourselves on being the backbone to support the hyper growth of CoreWeave - The Essential Cloud for AITM.  As part of the Controllership team, you will be surrounded by expertise across SEC Reporting, Technical Accounting, Treasury Accounting and Corporate Accounting.

This role will lead the Controllership organization on our growth journey through system and process transformations and governance of our data, requiring a strong accounting background.  As the Company surges ahead, our ability to scale requires increased automation and system changes, process changes, and governance. Using your strong accounting and controllership background, you will focus on process, controls, and identifying and driving opportunities for automation by thinking outside of the box with a focus on scaling the core accounting foundational systems and processes for the future.    

About the Role:

As Director of the Controllership Transformation team, you will lead the Controllership organization on our fast paced, growth journey.  This team is responsible for identifying, designing and implementing the areas for automation, including the use of AI and ERP transformations as well as integrating acquired companies.  With system changes also comes process changes that must be carefully managed and designed to take full advantage of the system changes and ensure ongoing SOX compliance. And finally, with a growing system infrastructure to support the Controllership and foundation of the accounting books of record, this leader will also oversee governance of the Controllership master data.   

In this role, you will: 

  • Shape and drive the future vision of the Controllership organization, working with leadership across the Finance organization and cross-functional teams  
  • Build a team to drive identification of pain points, opportunities for automation and transformative process changes required across the Controllership organization
  • Engage and drive with the Controllership teams opportunities for process improvements and change management
  • Lead the team in writing and reviewing business requirements documents for Controllership system transformation
  • Support the teams through control assessments, in particular with process and system changes
  • Build on and maintain a master data governance process

Who You Are:

  • 15+ years of experience in US GAAP accounting, including leading cross-functional system projects and implementations
  • Proven track record of leading accounting organizations through change for both systems and processes
  • Extensive experience in managing in a SOX controlled environment
  • Demonstrated experience managing master data governance
  • CPA license

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting fast growing companies in a complex business space in corporate controllership organization
  • Experienced in driving and implementing automation projects through both small changes and full-scale systems and processes changes for large, end-to-end processes
  • Experience leveraging and overseeing data for the controllership organization.

The base salary range for this role is $191,000 to $281,000. The starting salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. We strive for both market alignment and internal equity when determining compensation. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package includes a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program (all based on eligibility).

Our Workplace

While we prioritize a hybrid work environment, remote work may be considered for candidates located more than 30 miles from an office, based on role requirements for specialized skill sets. New hires will be invited to attend onboarding at one of our hubs within their first month. Teams also gather quarterly to support collaboration.
