About the Team

Since its 2019 launch, AP Classroom, the support platform for AP teachers and students, has become the most popular LMS in US High Schools, annually serving 185,000+ teachers and 3.4M+ students at 17,000+ schools. During the academic year, students and teachers visit AP Classroom 700,000 times per day. It offers 40 courses (and growing!) with currently a question bank over 40,000 questions and 4,400 instructional videos. The data generated by AP Classroom has provided the AP Program with tremendous insight into how American students learn: what they know and can do, where they struggle, and what they need to succeed.

About the Opportunity

Come join us in our mission to connect students to college success and opportunity. The AP (Advanced Placement) Program gives students the chance to tackle college-level work while they're still in high school—whether they're learning online or in the classroom. And through taking AP Exams, students can earn college credit and placement.

The AP Program is conducting a search for a Director, Content Management for AP Classroom. Teachers and students highly value and trust the instructional and assessment content within AP Classroom. You will lead planning, delivery, content transcription, quality check, and publishing instructional content (AP Daily Videos, PDF documents, course framework metadata, etc.), along with formative and summative assessment content (Progress Checks, Topic Questions, Practice Exams, etc) on AP Classroom.

Working in partnership with the content product owner, assessment production leads, instructional and assessment content teams, you’ll lead the end-to-end content publishing needs for new course launches, course updates and revisions, and ongoing production support for 14 AP Courses on AP Classroom.

In this role, you will:

Assessment content publishing (40%)

  • Manage the intake, configuration, and execution of implementing course framework metadata and course outline into AP Classroom for new course launches and course updates

  • Transform and configure question metadata from content authoring platforms and import into AP Classroom

  • Collaborate with Course Product Managers and Curriculum and Assessment content team members to define and implement metadata filters and question metadata in the Question Bank

Stakeholder Management (20%):

  • Engage with internal cross-functional stakeholders to learn and understand content requirements for AP Courses on AP Classroom

  • Build consensus with stakeholders to prioritize content needs and develop content publication schedules for the AP courses under your portfolio

  • An avid problem-solver, and a highly collaborative team member

  • Self-starter and fast-moving when it comes to putting plans into motion – you don’t need to work from a script

  • Fantastic communicator both verbally and in writing. You are experienced in effectively interfacing with internal stakeholders, as well as developers

  • The ability to travel 1-2 times a year to College Board offices or on behalf of College Board business

  • Authorization to work in the United States
