Role Summary 

Analog Devices is seeking a Director to lead our Cloud Center of Excellence and own the overall cloud strategy and operations across our large-scale, multi-cloud environment spanning AWS, Azure, and GCP. This leader will define, implement, and operate the cloud strategy, operating model, governance, security posture, and engineering best practices that enable the enterprise to scale safely and cost-effectively. The role combines strategic vision with hands-on operational accountability and people leadership across a team of six, including matrixed resources. 

Key Responsibilities 

Strategy & Vision 

  • Define and own the enterprise multi-cloud strategy across AWS, Azure, and GCP, aligned to business and engineering objectives. 

  • Establish the cloud operating model, including governance structures, decision rights, and shared-responsibility boundaries between the CoE and business/engineering units. 

  • Drive workload placement strategy, cloud adoption roadmaps, and migration/modernization priorities. 

Operations & Engineering Excellence 

  • Operate and continuously improve cloud platforms for reliability, performance, and resilience. 

  • Establish landing zones, reference architectures, infrastructure-as-code standards, and platform automation. 

  • Define and enforce cloud best practices, well-architected reviews, and operational standards across teams. 

Security & Governance 

  • Partner with Information Security to define and enforce cloud security posture, identity and access management, network controls, and compliance requirements. 

  • Implement policy-as-code, guardrails, and continuous compliance monitoring across all three providers. 

Financial Management (FinOps) 

  • Own cloud cost governance, optimization, forecasting, and chargeback/showback models. 

  • Drive accountability for spend across the multi-cloud footprint.  

Leadership 

  • Lead, develop, and grow a team of six, including direct reports and matrixed contributors. 

  • Influence and align stakeholders across IT, engineering, security, finance, and business units. 

  • Serve as the executive point of authority and escalation for cloud strategy and operations. 

Required Qualifications 

  • 10+ years in IT/cloud engineering, with 5+ years in cloud leadership roles. 

  • Demonstrated experience operating at enterprise scale across at least two of AWS, Azure, and GCP (multi-cloud strongly preferred). 

  • Proven track record defining cloud operating models, governance frameworks, and CoE functions. 

  • Deep knowledge of cloud security, IAM, networking, and compliance. 

  • Strong background in infrastructure-as-code, automation, and platform engineering. 

  • Experience with FinOps and cloud cost optimization at scale. 

  • Demonstrated people leadership, including matrixed teams. 

  • Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Relevant cloud certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP architect or professional level). 

  • Experience in semiconductor, manufacturing, or high-tech enterprise environments. 

  • Familiarity with regulated/compliance-driven operating contexts. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree a plus.

The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $184,800 to $267,600.
  • Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.

  • This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
