Position Overview

Kyverna is seeking Director, CAR T Channel Strategy & Operations. The Director, CAR T Channel Strategy & Operations is responsible for the development, execution, and continuous improvement of the commercial channel infrastructure supporting CAR T therapy delivery. This role provides strategic leadership for distribution, third-party logistics (3PL), specialty pharmacy strategy, state licensing, government pricing support, and channel governance activities. The position partners closely with Market Access, Commercial, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Supply Chain teams to ensure scalable, compliant, and customer-focused channel operations that support current and future CAR T commercialization efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute channel strategies that balance customer experience, operational efficiency, compliance requirements, and gross-to-net (GTN) optimization.
  • Serve as business owner for third-party logistics (3PL) partnerships and distribution operations supporting CAR T commercialization.
  • Lead specialty pharmacy and distribution strategy development to support current and future portfolio needs.
  • Partner with Market Access, Finance, Commercial, and Legal teams to evaluate channel design alternatives and their impact on GTN performance.
  • Assess channel economics and recommend strategies that optimize reimbursement, contracting, distribution costs, and commercial profitability while maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee state licensing strategy, renewals, compliance requirements, and regulatory readiness.
  • Support government pricing activities through cross-functional coordination, process governance, and operational oversight.
  • Lead distribution governance, service-level management, and operational performance reviews across external partners.
  • Support launch planning, market expansion, and new product introductions through scalable channel infrastructure.
  • Develop reporting, analytics, and performance metrics that provide visibility into channel effectiveness and operational health.
  • Identify and mitigate operational, regulatory, and commercial risks across the distribution network.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, specialty distribution, market access, commercial operations, or related functions.
  • Experience developing and executing channel strategies for specialty pharmaceuticals,  cell therapies, gene therapies, or other complex therapies.
  • Strong understanding of gross-to-net (GTN) principles, channel economics, distribution agreements, and commercial contracting.
  • Demonstrated ability to design channel solutions that optimize GTN performance while meeting customer, provider, and patient requirements.

The national salary range for this position is from $190,000 to $230,000 USD annually. This salary range is an estimate of what we reasonably expect to pay for this posted position, and the actual salary may vary based on various factors, including without limitation individual education, experience, tenure, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.  This position is also eligible for bonus, benefits, and participation in Company’s stock plan.
