Libra Solutions is seeking a talented and ambitious person to work as a Director of Capital Markets, reporting directly to the SVP of Capital Markets & Finance and will also have frequent interaction with the company’s CFO, CEO and Board of Directors. The Director position offers great experience and exposure to all aspects of growing a private equity backed company. (Parthenon and New Mile Capital are the two sponsors.) This position will gain a deep understanding of a complex capital markets structure and help guide the company’s liquidity positioning, which is the lifeblood of the company. Since 2020, Libra has completed 12 securitizations with $1.4B in total proceeds raised across 47 unique institutional investors)

Position Responsibilities:

  • Own Libra’s financial and liquidity model to optimize the firm’s capital structure
  • Develop financial and liquidity sensitivity scenarios to assess the viability of alternative capital structures on liquidity positioning, cost of funding and growth capacity which would inform Libra’s long-term capital market strategy
  • Partner with Libra’s Finance and Operations leadership teams to determine appropriate assumptions for the model
  • Prepare short and long-term liquidity / cash forecasts, partnering with Libra’s treasury team, to inform strategic decisions on investments, capital allocation and product structuring
  • Present liquidity forecast, capital markets strategy and market analysis to executive leadership on a regular basis
  • Work with the Treasury team to develop balance sheet limits and governance to efficiently manage the firm’s capital and maintain minimum liquidity positions / optimizing cashflow
  • Oversee the end-to-end process of capital transactions, including due diligence, documentation, negotiation, and closing
  • Design and manage loan performance metrics / covenants
  • Identify and establish relationships with new lenders and institutional investors for Libra’s bank syndicate and securitization facilities
  • Share market color and investor sentiment with management and key stakeholders
  • Manage rating agency and investment bank relationships
  • Attend and represent Libra at relevant conferences and maintain relationships with key industry participants

Requirements
  • 5+ years of capital markets experience either working at an Investment Bank, Commercial Bank or on a Capital Markets / Treasury team at a financial services organization
  • Bachelor’s Degree required (Math, Statistics, Engineering, Finance preferred)
  • Strong communicator who can present with conviction with an ability to balance the ‘big picture’ while intimately understanding the details
  • Very strong financial modeling skill set and ability to navigate complex data sets
  • Experience in leading securitization offerings, including developing presentations for rating agencies, institutional investors, and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to see the ‘big picture’ and connect Company’s strategic plans with its capital structure
  • Familiarity with various debt instruments including warehouse lines, term debt, and securitizations
  • Team player and partnership focused individual
  • Very strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and verbal communication skills
