Director, Strategy and Planning

The Role

This role is responsible for supporting and leading efforts within the team, ranging from strategy development, opportunity sizing, competitive modeling, and special ad hoc projects requested by Fidelity Wealth’s Senior Leadership Team. The role will be asked to think creatively about the retail financial services industry and Wealth’s place within it, creating quantitative analyses using internal and external data to drive new insights. In addition, the role is responsible for supporting Wealth’s strategy development and planning processes, packaging and communicating the strategy and further developing the mechanisms that build strategic alignment across the leadership team.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Experience: 7+ years of analytics, strategy and/or management consulting experience; 10+ years working in a professional environment. Proven impact supporting executive levels of an organization
  • Education: BA/BS required, MBA or equivalent Master’s degree preferred
  • Background: Financial Services experience and/or knowledge preferred
  • Skills: Critical thinking, ability to deconstruct, frame, and solve complicated problems, strong analytical skills, curiosity along with the ability to bring new insights and thinking to the business, PowerPoint skills for developing materials for and engaging with senior level audiences, strong project management and influencing skills

The Team

This role is part of Fidelity Wealth’s Strategy team. A small and robust team that develops and drives Wealth’s strategy, competitive insights, and business management efforts. The team directly supports Wealth’s senior leadership, driving our strategy forward and creating alignment within Wealth and between Wealth and Fidelity’s other business units.
