Senior Director, Business Strategy – Media & Entertainment
Role Summary
Our Media & Entertainment division is seeking a Senior Director of Business Strategy to play a pivotal role in shaping the next phase of growth. Reporting to the VP of M&E Strategy, this leader will drive high-impact strategic initiatives across the portfolio.
This role is designed for a senior strategy leader who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution, someone who can move from ambiguity to action, and from insight to measurable business outcomes. You will lead a team and partner closely with Product, Marketing, Sales, and Industry leaders to define go-to-market strategies, unlock new growth opportunities, and influence key investment decisions.
A core part of this role is translating complex market dynamics and opportunities into clear, data-driven business cases that shape Autodesk’s strategic priorities, including new offerings, partnerships, and M&A.
This is a highly visible role with significant executive exposure, offering the opportunity to drive strategy through execution and deliver measurable business impact across new AI, SaaS, and platform initiatives.
Key Priorities for This Role
Lead the identification, development, and go-to-market strategy for new AI, SaaS, and platform-based offerings
Translate complex market opportunities into clear, data-driven business cases that inform strategic investments, partnerships, and M&A decisions
Responsibilities
Build and own complex business cases for new offerings, investments, partnerships, and M&A, including market sizing, financial modeling, and strategic rationale
Lead the development for short- and long-term GTM strategy for the M&E portfolio
Identify and validate new market opportunities, translating insights into actionable growth initiatives
Define monetization and pricing strategies to maximize long-term value across new and existing offerings
Spearhead market research and synthesize customer, competitive, and industry insights to inform product and marketing direction
Lead quarterly business reviews and anticipate strategic risks and opportunities that could significantly impact M&E growth
Create executive-ready strategy briefs and narratives
Build strong relationships with executives, customers, partners, and industry stakeholders
Minimum Qualifications
15+ years of experience in strategy, management consulting, business development, or related fields, with a strong track record of driving strategic initiatives and business growth
10+ years of experience operating at a senior leadership level leading cross-functional teams and influencing executive stakeholders
Experience in top-tier management consulting, or equivalent experience in a highly strategic role within a leading technology company
Proven experience bringing new SaaS, AI, or platform-based offerings to market, from opportunity identification through go-to-market execution
Demonstrated ability to structure, build, and communicate complex, data-driven business cases to inform investment decisions, partnerships, and growth strategy
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, including financial modeling, market analysis, and executive-level storytelling
MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
Travel ~20%, including internationally

Ability to operate at both 0→1 (new offerings) and scale (portfolio growth)
Outstanding communicator who can translate complex analyses into clear, compelling executive narratives
Proven ability to lead and influence in a matrixed, global organization
Strong bias for action with the ability to move from ambiguity to decision and execution
Passion for technology, with deep knowledge of software, AI, and platform ecosystems
