Position Overview: Identifies Response Logistics opportunities and leads capture of major new business pursuits within GardaWorld Federal Services (GWFS) Response Logistics Service Line to exceed growth metrics primarily in our Disaster Relief, Turnkey Base Camp, and Response Logistics market, and/or other markets as assigned. Candidate leads customer interface, drives win strategy, teaming selection, staffing resource input, past performance, and relevant solutions for new/re-compete opportunities. The role will be key in the development of new business strategies, execution of multiple marketing approaches and collaboration on product and technical roadmaps. It will also require frequent customer contacts and a comprehensive understanding of customer requirements and management of a geographically dispersed BD team.

The position is primarily remote with expectation to travel to GWFS offices and customer locations anywhere in the U.S., as needed to grow the business line.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Grow the Response Logistics pipeline within GWFS offerings (turnkey base camp services, facilities services, and disaster relief services) through the creation, identification, shaping and qualification of quality opportunities
  • Support the Response Logistics service line in establishing the product line strategy by providing customer and competitive intelligence and analysis, market trends, and future customer acquisitions
  • Aggressively seek new business opportunities that are consistent with the Service Line, Business Area and Sector strategies by leveraging current network and experience
  • Collaborate on the growth of Response Logistics strategy and capabilities to support future customer needs within the Disaster Relief, Event Support, Logistics support, Emergency Response areas. 
  • Establish and execute a customer engagement plan to foster and grow our relationships across our customers’ organization; provide the voice of the customer to the business including customer pain points, mission needs, and needed future capabilities
  • Refine and support the Response Logistics Business Development process and methodology.
  • Support Response Logistics Business Development requirements through training, development, data requests, strategy meetings, and networking opportunities
  • Function as a member of the Business Development leadership team and pivotal member of the functional organization
  • Function as a member of the Product Area business leadership team to improve business execution/management and define growth strategies and opportunities
  • Mentor and develop Business Development team members and program managers assigned to Response Logistics service line in the development and capture of new business opportunities

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to grow the Response Logistics and Disaster Relief service line
  • Experience shaping, identification, qualification and creation of new business opportunities
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, foster, and grow customer and partner relationships
  • Experience providing Response Logistics services in the event, disaster relief, and emergency management sectors
  • Must be able to quickly and firmly grasp industry trends in particular acquisition policy
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English proficiently.
  • (Preferred)  Active Security clearance
  • (Preferred)  Existing customer and industry relationships; Emphasis on FEMA and State and Local Government stakeholders
  • (Preferred)  BD Lead for large competitive opportunities valued at > $50M
  • (Preferred)  Experience in both the commercial event sector and the Government disaster relief sector 
  • (Preferred)  Knowledge in FEMA and State/Local Emergency Management Agencies and Disaster Relief industry

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. The employee is frequently required to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
