Description
The Director of Business Applications and IT is responsible for overseeing and directing the company's technology stack, its strategy, operations, and infrastructure.
This position plays a critical role in shaping the technology vision and ensuring alignment with the overall company business objectives.
This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer and requires a strong combination of strategic thinking, operational excellence, and a hands-on approach to delivering innovative and scalable technology solutions.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned technology leader with a deep understanding of business applications and systems (most notably SFDC), IT operations, information systems implementation and management, data management, and digital transformation. Experience collaborating with senior executives and go-to-market business owners are critical requirements.
Responsibilities
Business Applications

  • Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and upgrade of key corporate applications, ensuring they function optimally and align with business needs.
  • Manage relationships with software vendors and key stakeholders across departments to support, troubleshoot, and enhance applications.
  • Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of new applications and major updates, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery.
  • Ensure seamless integration of applications within the company's tech ecosystem, optimizing workflows and data accessibility.


IT

  • Develop and implement the information systems strategy to support the company's long-term business goals.
  • Lead the development and implementation of a data governance framework to ensure data integrity, privacy, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align IT initiatives with organizational priorities and ensure cross-functional support.
  • Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to meet both operational and strategic priorities


Operations

  • Oversee the IT & Business Applications teams to ensure high performance, reliability, scalability, and security of all systems and applications.
  • Lead a high-performing Business Applications and IT team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Drive continuous improvement operational processes, ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Promote a culture of data literacy and empower teams to leverage data as a strategic asset.
  • Mentor and develop talent, providing opportunities for skill growth and career advancement.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in IT leadership roles, with a proven track record in managing information systems for a large organization.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse, multi-national team.
  • Proficiency in business applications software in various domains such as CRM, Marketing Automation, ITSM, ERP, and more.
  • Prior experience with Salesforce.com is pivotal to the role
  • Extensive experience with IT infrastructure, data governance, and digital transformation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and foster collaboration across departments.
  • Sense of urgency while executing strategically. Possesses appropriate business discipline to facilitate quick and fact-based decisions and ensures accountability for execution.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and influence key stakeholders.
