Director, Business Analytics 

Position Overview
This director turns data into decisions at scale—building an analytics practice that’s accurate, responsive, and tied to outcomes that save time, money, and lives. You’ll lead and develop a small team of Business Analysts, own our analytics delivery engine, and partner with Ops, Finance, Marketing, Sales, and Technology to improve processes and customer experience.  This position will report to the Chief Innovation Officer and will have 1 direct report.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prioritize and translate business questions into well-scoped analytics projects and repeatable reporting.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, scalability, and better customer outcomes; track realized value.
  • Review and approve queries, dashboards, and documentation; uphold data quality and consistency across Tableau/Salesforce/HubSpot/GA/Redshift.
  • Build narratives that drive decisions—turn analysis into recommendations with measurable impact.
  • Support Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience and Ops/Innovation teams with ready-made statements and stories that are backed by data trends identified by the BA team.
  • Partner with Data/IT on source-of-truth tables and performance (e.g., Redshift models, permissions).
  • Maintain and improve documentation for dashboards/reports and datasets 
  • Improve internal training and accessibility so power users can self-serve safely.

Qualifications - Required 

  • A minimum of 1 year in a customer facing position (e.g. sales, customer service, etc.).
  • A minimum of 3 years direct management experience, including experience leading analysts or projects in a cross-functional setting.
  • A minimum of 5 years dedicated to analytics or business intelligence.
  • Advanced SQL and strong BI experience. 
  • Comfortable with Tableau, Salesforce, HubSpot, Google Analytics, Amazon Redshift.
  • Proven record building operational reporting (staffing, budgeting/expense, pipeline/revenue, marketing performance) that drives decisions.
  • Excellent scoping, prioritization, and project management; calm under rapid change.
  • Strong communicator: converts analysis into concise stories and recommendations.
  • Experience working independently/remotely with distributed stakeholders.

Qualifications - Nice to Have

  • SW development or systems engineering experience.
  • Light scripting (Python or R) for data prep/automation; familiarity with dbt or similar modeling.
  • Demonstrated experience creating, owning, or scaling AI-forward tools, workflows, or initiatives that improve business decision-making, operational efficiency, or customer outcomes.
  • Worked in K-12/EdTech contexts
