Role Summary

Vacation® is looking for a Director of Brand Partnerships to lead the strategy, development, and execution of high-impact partnerships and experiential initiatives that expand brand awareness, cultural relevance, and revenue. The role will report to the VP of Marketing. This role will own the full lifecycle of partnerships—from identifying white-space opportunities and negotiating best-in-class deals to executing unforgettable activations, co-branded launches, events, sponsorships, and tours.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of experience building and managing complex brand partnerships across retail, lifestyle, beauty, hospitality, and cultural spaces, with a proven ability to balance big-idea thinking and flawless execution. You’ll be a strategic relationship builder, a sharp negotiator, and an organized operator who thrives in a fast-moving, creative, fully remote environment.

Responsibilities

Partnership Strategy & Vision

  • Develop and own Vacation®’s long-term partnerships and events strategy aligned with brand, marketing, and commercial objectives
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities, outbound and inbound, across retail, co-branded products, sponsorships, marketing activations, experiential events, tours, and cultural moments
  • Build a robust pipeline of prospective partners that elevate brand heat, reach new audiences, and drive measurable impact

Deal Making & Negotiation

  • Lead partner outreach, pitch development, and deal negotiations from first conversation through contract close
  • Structure partnerships that balance brand equity, creative integrity, financial performance, and operational feasibility
  • Partner closely with legal, finance, and leadership to finalize terms, budgets, and timelines

Relationship & Team Management

  • Serve as the primary senior-level point of contact for key partners
  • Build long-term, trust-based relationships that lead to repeat collaborations and expanded programs
  • Manage partner communications, expectations, and performance throughout the lifecycle of each initiative
  • Oversee one direct report within a growing team.

Project, Campaign & Activation Management

  • Oversee end-to-end execution of partnerships, activations, and events—from concept and planning through launch, execution, and wrap-up
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including creative, PR, social, sales, production vendors, and agency partners
  • Ensure programs are delivered on time, on budget, and on brand

Measurement & Optimization

  • Define success metrics for partnerships and events (brand impact, PR, social, traffic, sales, etc.)
  • Track performance, capture learnings, and continuously refine strategy based on results

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in brand partnerships roles. 
  • Experienced team leader, with 5+ years managing direct reports and track record of scaling a team
  • Proven track record negotiating and executing partnerships across retail, lifestyle, beauty, hospitality, and cultural categories
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects and campaigns end-to-end
  • Assertive, confident communicator who is comfortable leading conversations internally and externally
  • Process-oriented, with a passion for turning creative ideas into scalable, repeatable programs
  • Experience working as part of a fully remote team
  • Experience working with tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, & Asana
