Today, Recharge powers more than 20,000 merchants serving 100 million subscribers, including brands such as Blueland, Hello Bello, LOLA, Chamberlain Coffee, and Bobbie—Recharge doesn’t just help you sell products, we help build buyer routines that last.

Recharge is recognized on the Technology Fast 500, awarded by Deloitte, (3rd consecutive year) and is Great Place to Work Certified.

Overview

As our Director, Brand & Content Marketing, you’ll be the steward of Recharge’s masterbrand and the architect of the stories that make us unforgettable. You’ll lead a multidisciplinary team spanning brand design, campaigns, and editorial content.

What you’ll do

  • Define and evolve Recharge’s brand identity and narrative across every channel and asset.
  • Drive full-funnel brand expression: from high-impact hero moments to nuanced microcopy and motion.
  • Lead, inspire and scale our Brand team —writers, campaign managers and content producers—with an eye toward excellence, consistency, and emotional impact.
  • Partner with Product Marketing, Demand Gen, and Partnerships to deliver breakthrough campaigns that speak to both DTC founders and enterprise buyers.
  • Manage and evolve our voice, tone, and visual identity to show—not just tell—what we stand for.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and freelancers when needed, but build internal creative muscle that can run fast and punch above its weight.

What you’ll bring

  • Have 8–12+ years of experience in brand, creative, and content leadership, ideally in B2B SaaS, DTC tech, or agency roles serving bold brands.
  • Are a strategic creative—you can shape a brand platform, not just write a great headline or layout a good deck.
  • Think in systems—how brand expression connects across web, campaigns, product, events, and social.
  • Love brand strategy but sweat the craft. Words, typography, and design quality matter deeply to you.
  • Understand storytelling as go-to-market—you can translate positioning into provocative narratives that make customers feel something.
  • Are fluent in brand team dynamics: hiring, feedback, coaching, prioritization, and process without bureaucracy.
  • Have launched brands or rebrands and know how to bring a vision to life at every level.
  • Believe that Brand is a revenue driver—not a cost center.

What Success Looks Like

  • A unified Recharge brand that turns heads, earns love, and builds trust from Series A brands to scaled enterprises.
  • A nimble, empowered creative team producing work that makes customers stop scrolling and start buying.
  • Bold, story-led content that turns our platform into a magnet for changemakers.
  • A visual and verbal identity that becomes iconic in commerce—on par with the brands we serve.

Why You’ll Love It Here

  • You’ll work on a brand that actually matters—to founders, to consumers, to the world we want to live in.
  • You’ll shape a category, not follow one.
  • You’ll be surrounded by curious, mission-driven humans who care about doing great work.
  • And you’ll get to build a brand that powers products that become movements.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
