We are seeking a Director of Alternative Investments and Regulatory Reporting to play a key role in ensuring the organization remains well-positioned amidst evolving investment products and regulatory requirements.

This position operates at the intersection of technical accounting, regulatory interpretation, and business execution, and is responsible for evaluating the impact of emerging investment products—such as alternative investments, derivatives, and digital assets—as well as new and evolving regulations on shareholder reporting.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to apply deep subject matter expertise in a strategic, high-impact capacity, contributing to the ongoing development and modernization of reporting practices within the organization.

  • Analyzing new regulatory requirements, accounting guidance, and emerging investment products to determine accounting and reporting impacts.
  • Converting technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for reporting, business functions, and decision-makers.
  • Collaborating with production, operations, and leadership teams to evaluate impacts and outline feasible implementation strategies.
  • Leading cross-functional discussions and driving alignment on complex or ambiguous topics.
  • Communicating key implications, risks, and recommendations to senior management and collaborators.
  • Developing scalable documentation, frameworks, and mentorship to support consistent execution.
  • Supporting and leading training efforts to build organizational knowledge in complex and evolving areas.
  • Functioning as a subject matter resource, supporting the organization’s responses to continuous industry and regulatory shifts.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring

You bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to this role! With over 8 years in financial services, including investment management accounting/reporting or operations, or audit/advisory experience, you have a proven track record. Your strong understanding of investment company reporting, U.S. GAAP, and regulatory frameworks positions you to excel. CPA preferred. Your analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and navigate ambiguity make you outstanding. You communicate complex topics effectively, influencing collaborators across all levels.
