Purpose of Role

Responsible for defining, owning, and scaling the company’s affiliate and influencer acquisition strategies as core, enterprise-level growth channels. Creates the long-term vision, operating model, and performance framework for affiliate and influencer marketing, including the build and scale of an influencer program from inception. Leads partner strategy, commercial negotiations, channel economics, and team development while collaborating closely with Paid Media, Analytics/BI, Web & Development, Creative Services, Compliance, and Marketing Operations to ensure integrated, compliant, and profitable customer acquisition. Drives innovation, tests new partnership models, and positions affiliate and influencer marketing as strategic levers within the broader acquisition portfolio.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Defines and owns the enterprise strategy and multi-year roadmap for affiliate and influencer marketing, aligned to company growth, efficiency, and brand objectives.
  • Oversees performance and relationships with top-tier affiliate publishers, networks, and strategic partners, ensuring scalable volume, lead quality, and ROI.
  • Leads commercial negotiations for affiliate and influencer partnerships, including commission structures, contracts, incentives, and long-term strategic agreements.
  • Establishes performance frameworks, CAC guardrails, pacing models, and ROI targets to guide investment and decision-making across channels.
  • Directs the launch, pilot, optimization, and scale of the influencer marketing program, including micro- and macro-influencer strategies.
  • Provides executive-level oversight of lead quality, conversion performance, attribution, fraud monitoring, and channel economics.
  • Partners with Analytics/BI and Web/Development teams to ensure accurate tracking, attribution models, and actionable reporting.
  • Collaborates with Creative Services, Paid Media, and Marketing Operations to ensure messaging alignment, funnel integration, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensures all affiliate and influencer activities adhere to regulatory, compliance, and brand standards within a regulated financial services environment.
  • Leads, mentors, and develops team members, establishing clear expectations, priorities, and performance standards.
  • Identifies and evaluates emerging trends, tools, platforms, and partnership models to maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Communicates channel performance, insights, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership through dashboards, reporting, and executive presentations.
  • Sponsors and prioritizes experimentation initiatives, including new payout models, partner types, content partnerships, and market expansion.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications - Experience/Skills/Competencies

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in affiliate marketing, partnerships, or influencer marketing roles, and a minimum 5 years of experience in supervising a team.
  • Proven success owning and scaling affiliate and influencer programs as primary acquisition channels, including building programs from the ground up.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale, performance-driven marketing budgets and optimizing channel-level ROI.
  • Advanced expertise in partner negotiations, contract management, and strategic relationship development.
  • Strong analytical capability, including experience with attribution models, lead quality analysis, fraud monitoring, and performance forecasting.
  • Proficiency with analytics and reporting tools such as Google Analytics, advanced Excel, SQL, Tableau, or similar BI platforms.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with analytics, web development, creative, compliance, and paid media teams.
  • Ability to operate independently with high judgment in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent executive communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in financial services, mortgage, fintech, or other regulated industries preferred.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is inclusive of all geographical differences in the labor market. The base salary for the position will be determined based on factors such as the candidate’s work location, skills, education, and experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members in determining any final offer. We offer a competitive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life insurance, paid time-off benefits, flexible spending account, 401(k) with employer match, and ESPP.
