Director, Advisor Oversight

The Role

Strategic Advisers Inc. (SAI) Advisor Oversight Team is responsible for managing SAI’s Sub-Adviser and Separately Managed Account Programs.  We provide risk and oversight guidance for SAI’s product initiatives.  The Team supports SAI’s and our distribution channel’s strategic growth through sub-advised funds and separately managed account offerings.

  • Lead initial due diligence efforts for third party providers

  • Develop Board reporting in support of initial candidate presentations, quarterly reporting, and annual contract renewals

  • Relationship management for third party providers through ongoing engagement

  • Manage implementation activities with internal and external partners

  • Participate and contribute to governance forums related to due diligence efforts

  • Review and enhance breadth of oversight program, including existing policies and controls

  • Up to 25% travel required

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • 8+ years working experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Broad-based investment industry experience; compliance, operations, corporate audit, derivatives experience a plus

  • Your experience to influence and collaborate with internal and external partners

  • Your attention to detail and strong analytical, organizational, communication and problem-solving skills

  • Your ability to own initiatives and issues and see them through to completion

  • Strong project management, relationship management and communication skills

  • Ability to identify key risks and bring them to resolution

  • Ability to simultaneously identify, prioritize and address multiple issues and quickly respond to shifts in priorities

  • Self-starter with strong attention to detail

The Team

The Strategic Advisers Advisor Oversight team performs is seeking a motivated individual to support the initial due diligence, ongoing oversight, and implementation for third party providers. In this role the individual will be responsible for providing support to our investment team and safeguarding Fidelity’s reputation for our Board of Trustees. The individual will be responsible for maintaining relationships within SAI, internal cross company business partners, and external partners at both the management and working team levels. Oversight activities include quarterly reviews, annual contract renewals and brokerage reporting.

                                                                         

The base salary range for this position is $100,000-$169,000 per year.  

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
