Who we’re looking for

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated Director of Accounting to lead our accounting operations, oversee the month-end close process, and ensure accurate financial reporting across ParentSquare and its subsidiaries.  This role will report directly to the VP of Accounting and will be responsible for shaping accounting policies, strengthening internal controls, and partnering cross-functionally to support the company’s growth.  The Director of Accounting will also play a critical role in technical accounting matters, revenue recognition, and external audit, ensuring compliance with US GAAP.

This role will include: 
  • Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing coaching, performance management, and professional development
  • Own the month-end and quarter-end accounting close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, consolidations, and preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
  • Ensure accurate and compliant revenue recognition across ParentSquare and subsidiaries, overseeing reconciliations and contract reviews for SaaS and other revenue streams
  • Design, implement, and monitor strong internal controls to safeguard assets
  • Collaborate with leaders in FP&A, Sales, Legal, and Operations to support the close process, provide OPEX analysis, and align financial reporting with business objectives
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline close timelines, improve accuracy, and enhance the efficiency of accounting systems and workflows
  • Lead technical accounting research and the adoption of new accounting standards, documenting policies and ensuring proper application
  • Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, preparing audit schedules, responding to requests, and ensuring timely and accurate audit completion
  • Support the VP of Accounting in shaping the long-term accounting roadmap, including system upgrades, automation initiatives, and scaling processes for growth
Our Ideal Candidate will have: 
  • CPA certification required; Big 4 public accounting experience strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership/management role
  • Proven expertise in US GAAP, revenue recognition (ASC 606), and technical accounting matters
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and mentoring high-performance teams
  • Experience is working in SaaS
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, balancing strategic priorities with hands-on execution


The salary range for this role will be $95,000 to $135,000, DOE.
