Job Description
Director, F-35 Requirements & Programs, provides guidance, advice, and support to the Electronic Combat Systems Business Area (ECS) and business opportunity identification/creation in support of current and new business activities with the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO) in the Arlington, VA area. Customers in addition to JPO may include DoD (OSD, USAF, USMC, USN ) operational and systems commands.
This position requires recent expertise and deep knowledge of the JPO, the F-35 aircraft, and the Defense requirements, acquisition and budgeting processes (JCIDS, FARS, PPBE).
The position will develop and maintain close trusted partner relationships with offices of pertinent senior military and USG civilian customers, current and prospective, as well as industry partners. The position will coordinate with ECS Business Development, Engineering, Technical Directors and Program Management personnel and support briefings to customers that highlight BAE Systems capabilities and solutions. The position will also support the Business Area through attendance at Industry Days, Symposiums, Professional Events, Conferences, and Trade Shows in the area and others as necessary.
The Director, F-35 Requirements and Programs will report to the Business Development Director of ECS, regularly interface with the Electronics System (ES) Sector Customer Requirements & Advocacy Team, and BAE Systems Inc Government Relations team.
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information as well as maintain BAE Systems highest ethical standards.

- Master's Degree and 20 years of experience or equivalent
- Top Secret clearance
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience with the JPO, F-35 aircraft, and a Service user (USAF, USMC or USN)
- Understanding of DoD Requirements (JCIDS), Acquisition (FAR) and Budget development processes (PPBE)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- Top Secret / SCI (or eligibility for same)
- Master's Degree
- Understanding of the 5th Gen fighter market, its customers and industry constituents
- Service Command and senior level staff experience (Service HQ staff, Joint staff or major command staff)
