As a Workday Professional in our Digital Solutions practice, you will join a world class Workday team. In this role, you will play a critical role in both post-production support (Tier 3) and delivery of enhancements and implementations, acting as a bridge between support operations and project execution. You will have the opportunity to work with some of the most inventive and fast-growing companies, expand your Workday and leadership skills, and support and lead Workday efforts under the direction of senior leadership.

We operate within a disciplined, scalable delivery model built on established integration and support playbooks. This role is designed for someone who thrives in structured environments, executes with consistency, and contributes to improving systems rather than reinventing them.

Responsibilities:

Ownership

  • Lead day-to-day execution of Workday and systems-related efforts, partnering with senior leadership on overall delivery direction
  • Serve as a key point of contact for project and support teams, escalating risks and decisions to senior leadership when appropriate

Operating Model

  • Operate effectively within a hybrid delivery model, supporting both post-production (Tier 3) operations and project-based implementation work
  • Balance multiple priorities across support tickets, enhancements, and project workstreams in a fast-paced environment

Delivery

  • Support delivery of Workday implementations and enhancements, owning specific workstreams and ensuring alignment with overall project objectives
  • Support and manage core phases of Workday projects, including planning, execution, stakeholder coordination, and risk tracking
  • Execute Workday implementations, enhancements, and support activities in alignment with Connor Group’s established integration and delivery playbook

Execution

  • Translate production issues and business needs into system enhancements and scalable solutions
  • Apply structured integration design and troubleshooting approaches to ensure scalable, reliable, and maintainable solutions
  • Proactively identify recurring issues and recommend process or system improvements to reduce future support volume
  • Drive process improvement initiatives by working with clients and internal teams to define problems, analyze data, and implement solutions
  • Demonstrate strong functional knowledge of Workday and analyze business operations to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Follow and continuously improve established delivery, support, and integration standards rather than creating net-new processes

Leadership

  • Delegate and coordinate work across junior team members, ensuring tasks are clearly defined, prioritized, and executed efficiently
  • Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and mentoring to project team members in alignment with Connor Group’s established integration and delivery playbook

Strategy

  • Participate in client activities including meetings, proposals, statements of work, and project estimates
  • Support development of estimates and change orders in collaboration with senior leadership
  • Collaborate closely with engagement leaders to align execution with broader client strategy and firm objectives

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
