What’s the role?
The Sales Manager, Digital Sales, is responsible for selling the Zeiss Digital Product Portfolio. This position will drive sales growth through communication and in-person interactions with current and prospective customers, while training and mentoring the wider sales workforce in data management and instrument connectivity solutions. While meeting individual sales goals, the Sales Manager, Digital Sales must develop extensive product knowledge of data management and instrument connectivity in the Digital Product line, including networking solutions to the practice, and an awareness of market conditions and competition.
This role is expected to communicate with management frequently on all sales activities, ideas, market and competitive activities, and will represent CZMI in maintaining the highest standards of business ethics, professionalism and customer care. The Sales Manager, Digital Sales, will engage upstream marketing to assist in development of new product specifications, and downstream marketing to develop product launch plans and specifications. It will support Regional Sales Managers & Directors in their territories by providing lead generation, demo/evaluation support, product training, attendance at regional trade shows, etc.

Here’s what you’ll do:
Sales responsibility for Digital Portfolio products. Attain or exceed yearly assigned product revenue, profit, and product mix quotas.
Schedule and host personal/online product demonstrations for customers, potential customers, and their respective IS/IT operations staff.
Drive adoption through on-site visits.
Become the Connectivity “product champion” and technical expert for assigned products.
Maintain, analyze, and utilize territory records, contact management software and other information.
Represent and sell Zeiss Digital Portfolio products at trade shows and meetings
Educate and follow-up with thought leaders on the operation, utilization and application of our products.
Work with Sales Managers to support sales including, but not limited to lead generation, demo/evaluation support, product training, attendance at regional trade shows.
Work frequently with Regional Sales Managers, KAM, SAM, SUR, REF and DP to review opportunities, schedule demonstrations and help close business for their specific product line.
Provide timely, accurate and constructive written and oral communications to management regarding expected sales planned monthly activity.
Engage marketing teams on new product specifications and related issues.
Foster and develop lead generation via digital marketing channels.
Lead generation and conversion with handover to implementation team.
Lead management and reporting with tools such as Salesforce.
Close collaboration with implementation, training, and support teams to drive product adoption.
Develop and implement creative and profitable tactical marketing approaches to the individual demands of the representative’s region.
All paperwork and other requested information should be furnished in a complete and timely manner.
Maintain currency of and adhere to applicable GMP and ISO 9001 processes and procedures. Abide by state and federal employment laws.
Follow-up with customers to ensure timely implementation and training while maximizing customer satisfaction.

Do you qualify?
5 years’ relevant sales experience in software solutions & services required, medical software experience preferred.
Knowledge of EMR/EHR business models a strong plus.
Experience and familiarity with CZMI products and line of business preferred but not required.
Expertise in networking and connectivity required, PACS knowledge preferred.
High level of technical and clinical knowledge within the ophthalmology and optometry field.
Strong organizational and communication skills with peers, customers, and physicians.
Computer literacy in standard business software such as word processing, spreadsheet and presentations.
Develop expertise in product application and practice management implications.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
The annual starting salary for this position is $130,000 plus sales commission.
