We’re looking for a strategic, collaborative leader who is passionate about building impactful digital products that improve the experience for millions of members. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of business, technology, and customer needs—and who enjoys turning vision into execution, particularly in complex, highly visible environments.

In this role, you’ll lead agile, cross‑functional teams to drive the end‑to‑end success of digital products, channels, and programs. You’ll shape product strategy, define and manage roadmaps, and partner closely with Engineering and a broad set of stakeholders to deliver innovative, high‑quality solutions. Experience in health insurance—or similarly regulated, high‑traffic digital environments—is strongly preferred, as this role supports one of our most widely used applications and requires comfort navigating complexity, balancing competing priorities, and maintaining strong alignment across teams.

Note:

  • This is a remote role with occasional travel within Tennessee, including BCBST’s headquarters in Chattanooga.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Leading agile teams in the ongoing management and advancement or digital products, channels, and programs
  • Developing innovative, industry-leading solutions that uniquely serve BlueCross and its customers 
  • Leading digital initiatives and cross-functional teams by driving strategy, tactics, and delivery timelines
  • Identifying, researching and scoping key business opportunities in support of the future-state vision for digital solutions across products, programs, and campaigns
  • Building strong partnerships across teams in delivering excellent service 
  • Working with key stakeholders throughout the organization to establish priorities, gain buy-in, and align resources appropriately

Job Qualifications 

Education 

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required. Equivalent experience is defined as 4 years of professional work experience in a corporate environment 

Experience 

  • 6 years - Experience managing consumer tools/technology, or equivalent experience required. 
  • 3 years - Experience in a leadership/management role required 
  • 1 year - Project management, account management or similar experience required 

Skills\Certifications 

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or function in a team environment sharing  responsibility, roles and accountability. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office M365 (Outlook, Word, Excel PowerPoint, Teams, etc.) and SharePoint
  • Must be a team player, be organized and have the ability to handle multiple projects 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
