Working Model/Location: This is a hybrid position within footprint. Remote options may be considered for east coast based candidates that are outside of M&T's footprint.

Overview:

Manages assigned digital products, services, platforms, experiences and/or strategies.  Develops the strategy or executes on the strategy defined for assigned digital products and services, including partnering with relevant stakeholders to create the design, development, implementation, marketing and ongoing support for the product or service.  Ensures projects, products or services are within Bank’s risk appetite.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for overall oversight of assigned digital capabilities to ensure platform stability, value delivery and regulatory and/or internal control environment compliance.    
  • Serve as subject matter expert for Digital Money Movement in Consumer, Business and Wealth segments understanding the payment rails, customer transaction needs and industry roadmap to influence development of Bank’s strategy and roadmap.  
  • Lead business case development and stakeholder alignment for delivering value through digital capabilities to improve customer experience and drive business growth.       
  • Define, implement and monitor payment processing controls.
  • Identify, track and socialize key performance indicators (KPIs) and customer/business insight from the KPIs. 
  • Define product positioning and Marketing needs to drive engagement and adoption.
  • Manage key vendor relationships/contracts and identify opportunities for additional partnerships.
  • Understand and manage product risk, inclusive of all phases of product lifecycle and all pillars of risk to protect the Bank.
  • Provide ongoing support and resolution of issues with digital products or services.
  • Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.  Design, implement, maintain and enhance internal controls to mitigate risk on an ongoing basis.  Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management. 
  • Provide on-call support for Incident Management and other platform support activities
  • Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.   
  • Provide training and mentoring to less experienced team members.
  • Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years’ digital, product management, financial, strategy and/or operations experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 8 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 4 years’ digital, product management, financial, strategy and/or operations experience

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $97,869.52 - $163,115.87 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
