About the role:
Join Takeda as a Digital Ethics and Compliance (DE&C) Responsible AI (RAI) & Ethics, Risk and Compliance (ERC) Policy and Frameworks Lead, at the director level, where you will ensure ethical behaviors, which plays a fundamental role in risk mitigation. The DE&C RAI & ERC Policy and Framework Lead, responsibilities include developing, coordinating, implementing, and overseeing the organization's digital ethics and compliance's RAI and ERC policies and frameworks. You will provide guidance to DE&C stakeholders, coordinating internal and external stakeholders and monitoring effectiveness. As part of the Global Ethics & Compliance team, you will report to the Head of Digital E&C Program, Strategy & Governance and you will collaborate across all E&C teams and partner with internal and external stakeholders, including legal, audit, regulatory bodies, industry organizations, and civil society.
How you will contribute:
  • Develop, coordinate, implement, and oversee the company's digital ethics and compliance's RAI and ERC policies and frameworks.
  • Ensure alignment with the company's vision, mission, values, and strategic goals.
  • Provide guidance and advice to DE&C stakeholders - business units/functions, and employees on digital ethics and compliance issues, including but not limited to RAI ethics, ERC, and digital ethical and social responsibility.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of the company's digital ethics and compliance's RAI and ERC policies and frameworks.
  • Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including legal, audit, regulatory bodies, industry organizations, and civil society.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • • Manage and supervise the implementation of the company's digital ethics and compliance's RAI and ERC policies and frameworks.
  • Lead the GEC RAI Taskforce and relevant RAI committees.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in technology, law, ethics, compliance, risk management, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification is preferred.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in AI, digital ethics and compliance policy and risk frameworks, preferably in the digital industry or a multinational corporation.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the digital industry, including emerging trends specifically AI/GenAI/RAI, challenges, and opportunities related to ethics and compliance issues.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and persuade diverse audiences and stakeholders.
  • High ethical standards, integrity, and professionalism, with a commitment to the company's values and principles.
  • Proven leadership, management, and organizational skills, with the ability to lead by influence and drive results.
  • Drives overall performance for area of responsibility aligned with PTRB and Takeda-ism.
  • Accountable for influencing others (directly and indirectly) to achieve results; influences strategic direction and decisions beyond area of responsibility.
  • Seeking guidance in only the most complex/critical situations.
  • Communicates within and outside the area of accountability to drive overall organizational performance and engage others.
  • Leads external communications relating to area of responsibility.
  • Ability to work with and comprehend significant detail and complexity in fast changing DE&C landscape.

U.S. Base Salary Range:
$174,500.00 - $274,230.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
