Job Description

The Manager, Digital Content Planning and Development leads enterprise story-finding and storytelling strategy, identifying the most compelling narratives across the business and translating them into cohesive, high-impact digital content.
This role goes beyond execution to define what stories matter, why they matter and how they come to life across channels, ensuring content connects emotionally, drives discovery and advances brand perception.

Key Responsibilities

Content Strategy and Planning

  • Lead content strategy for the corporate web experience aligned to business priorities and stakeholder needs.
  • Translate audience interests, search intent and performance data into actionable plans.
  • Define content standards, voice and governance to ensure consistency across digital properties.

Content Development and Execution

  • Proactively identify whitespace, emerging narratives and audience-relevant stories from business priorities, data and cultural context
  • Elevate storytelling through multimedia and innovative formats and experiences
  • Oversee the creation, editing and publishing of best-in-class digital content
  • Ensure content is clear, concise, human and aligned with brand voice
  • Manage content calendar, workflows and production pipelines

Discoverability and Optimization

  • Develop content frameworks that improve ranking, visibility and inclusion in AI-driven search and answer experiences.
  • Apply keyword, intent and competitive analysis to inform content development.
  • Continuously optimize content for search performance, accessibility and usability.
  • Use data and insights to refine content strategies and prioritize improvements.

Key Outcomes

  • Improve stakeholder engagement and brand perception through original, relevant, and useful content.
  • Build content planning and governance models that drive consistency, quality, and performance.
  • Increase discoverability and qualified traffic through Search Engine Optimization, Generative Engine Optimization, and Answer Engine Optimization–optimized content strategies.

  • Sharp writer and thinker with excellent operational execution and attention to detail.
  • Clear, concise communicator with a collaborative, cross-functional mindset.
  • Strong ability to translate data and search intent into effective content strategies

What We’re Looking For

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in digital content strategy, planning or development for corporate or enterprise websites
  • Demonstrated story-finding and storytelling expertise and strong editorial judgment
  • Proven experience driving Search Engine Optimization performance and familiarity with Generative Engine Optimization and Answer Engine Optimization best practices.

Compensation

Base compensation offered for this role is $98,100 -$150,500 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
*** Total compensation for this role is comprised of several factors, including the base compensation outlined above, plus incentive pay (i.e. commission, bonus, etc.) as applicable for the role.

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
