About the role:
As a Senior DevSecOps Engineer, your day begins with architecting, developing, and implementing end-to-end cluster and application lifecycles, ensuring secure and efficient processes. Collaborate with clients, designing and executing bespoke Kubernetes or Docker solutions tailored to their unique requirements, be they cloud-based or on-premises. A significant portion of the day is dedicated to constructing and perfecting CI/CD pipelines, which aids in the rapid and reliable delivery of software updates. Finally, you will oversee the application of GitOps principles for software delivery, reinforcing the use of version control and enabling a more streamlined and dependable deployment process.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor Degree in computer science, Mathematics, or equivalent technical degree; or equivalent industry experience
- Six-plus (6+) years of experience leading teams of software engineers and extensive expertise in CI/CD implementation with a proven track record of performance.
- Five-plus (5+) years of experience developing containerized services deployed on orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, Mesos, etc.
- Five-plus (5+) years of demonstrated DevOps expertise leveraging Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment technologies such as Gitlab (and Gitlab Runners), Jenkins, Concourse, CircleCI, etc.
- Three-plus (3+) years of experience with Infrastructure as Code frameworks such as Terraform.
- Five-plus (5+) years of experience building services using Cloud Infrastructure Providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Two-plus (2+) years of experience securing applications via CI/CD pipelines leveraging static code analysis, unit and integration testing, dependency analysis, etc.
- Work with clients architecting, developing and implementing Kubernetes or Experience with AWS and cloud technologies.
- Knowledgeable in Agile, DevOps and DevSecOps methodologies, practices and culture.
- Experience with managing and integrating Service-Mesh, such as Istio.
- Passionate about building automation in languages like Python, GoLang, and Typescript.
- Strong knowledge of version control systems like Gitlab, ability to maintain/operate Gitlab in the Cloud or on-premises.
- Problem solving aptitude.
- Passionate about automation, system efficiency, and security.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
- Stay current with industry trends, making recommendations as needed to help the company excel.
- Able to obtain a Security+ certification within the first 90 days of employment with Raft.
What we are looking for:
- Solid understanding of writing custom Helm Charts
- Experience with supporting enterprise Cloud applications or infrastructure
- Certifications such as CKA, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
Clearance Requirements:
- Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance required
- Must be a US person Required
Work Type:

Candidates will only be considered in this area or willing to relocate to these areas - May require up to 15% travel
Salary Range:
- $120,000 - $175,000
- The determination of compensation is predicated upon a candidate's comprehensive experience, demonstrated skill, and proven abilities
