Job Responsibilities:
The DevOps Manager will be responsible for developing and managing a team of Engineers at Magna's New Mobility. The role includes but is not limited to contributing to and managing the teams responsible for production support of multi-platform micro mobility solutions. This role is onsite (3 days per week) in our Lowell, MA office.
Role:• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full stack systems to create solutions that help meet new mobility needs.• Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with, and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering community, and from time to time, be asked to code or evaluate code.• Collaborate with multiple product teams and deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive world class products connecting various micro-mobility solutions.• Utilize programming languages like Java, Python, SQL, Ruby and Go, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, CM tools including Ansible and Terraform, and a variety of AWS tools and services.• Manages release and deployment cycles for new technologies and products.• Defines DevOps Engineering processes and procedures along with quality guidelines and standards.• Plans, designs, and optimizes production processes.• Oversees intricate system and network solutions using current and emerging technologies.• Assess performance against KPIs and makes corrections to improve performance.
Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree with at least 9 years of experience in DevOps Engineering or master's with at least 6 years of experience in Cloud Native technologies (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform)• At least 4 years of Unix or Linux system administration experience.• At least 2 years of people management experience.• Experience with coding and scripting (Python, Terraform, CDK, Golang, Bash etc.)• Experience using build and deployment tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Ansible, Docker)• Experience in container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (AWS EKS)• Incident management experience• Experience developing software solutions to solve business problems.• Experience in technology production support and site reliability engineering.• Experience with distributed database systems (Cassandra, Elasticsearch, MongoDB).• Working experience with executive presentations.• Working experience in working with a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
