We are seeking a DevOps Engineer with strong experience in Azure to support and scale our Kubernetes infrastructure and CI/CD automation. In this role, you will ensure the reliability, performance, and security of Kubernetes clusters while managing and enhancing GitHub Actions pipelines to streamline development and deployment workflows. You will favor end-to-end automation and apply GitOps principles to accelerate end-to-end delivery across the entire software development life cycle. Your solutions will support and scale multiple engineering teams and products. This role will partner with cross-functional teams and regularly collaborate with other business units across Watts.
This position reports to Software Solutions, Engineering Director. This role is remote and is based in the Americas.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain our Kubernetes platform across multiple environments and projects.
- Build, optimize, and support GitHub Actions workflows for CI/CD automation including mobile integration with Firebase.
- Manage deployments with Helm charts, Kubernetes manifests, and Terraform.
- Implement and maintain observability using Grafana, Prometheus, and Azure Monitor.
- Collaborate with developers to streamline builds, tests, and deployments.
- Apply security, cost optimization, and reliability best practices to Azure, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Support data and integration workflows involving Azure Databricks, Synapse, and IoT Hub.
- Document infrastructure, pipelines, and operational runbooks.
- Participate in incident response and troubleshooting of infrastructure and pipeline issues.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes in Azure or AWS
- Minimum of 2 years of strong proficiency with GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipelines (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years of expertise with Docker, Helm, and YAML-based configurations.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing cloud infrastructure with Azure services (Resource Groups, Storage, Key Vault, Networking).
- Minimum of a year working hands-on with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates).
- Minimum of 2 years working with observability stacks (Grafana, Prometheus, Azure Monitor).
- Minimum of 3 years of strong troubleshooting skills in distributed, cloud-native systems.
- Commitment to continuous learning and education
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
- Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104) or Azure Solutions Architect (AZ-305)
- GitHub Actions / DevOps or equivalent CI/CD certifications
- Ability to achieve certifications within the first 12 months of employment (with company support)
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to IoT solutions and telemetry-heavy workloads.
- Strong communication skills in a remote-first environment.
- Ability to collaborate across engineering, IT, security, data, and product teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation and process improvement habits.

Working Conditions:
While performing the job duties, you will be working remotely in an office environment. You may be required to occasionally travel to and work in the office at the North Andover, MA location for meetings, trainings, or as otherwise required by Company management.
Physical Requirements: Specific physical abilities required for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Ability to remain seated/standing at a desk or workstation for extended periods.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks like typing on a keyboard or using a mouse for extended periods.
- Ability to read documents and communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, with management, coworkers, and third parties.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, and copiers.
- Ability to physically move around the office and occasionally lift and carry light objects, such as office supplies, documents, or small equipment.
The expected salary range for this position is $92,000-105,000 yearly. Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.
