You'll be a key part of our Platform Storage team, focusing on the critical infrastructure that powers Bynder. One of our exciting goals for this year is to significantly improve our observability and explore the potential of a service mesh to enhance our platform.

Beyond core infrastructure work, you'll also collaborate closely with a product development team(s), offering your expertise to coach and guide them on infrastructure and architectural decisions.

In your day-to-day, you will:

  • Troubleshoot and debug issues related to both product and infrastructure.

  • Automate everything! If something's worth doing, it's definitely worth automating.

  • Improve and extend our Kubernetes platform, which leverages EKS.

  • Provide crucial insights into scalability for our developers.

  • Participate in an on-call rotation to support our production systems.

Who you are:

You're someone who loves ownership: you design it, you build it, you own it! You're a self-motivated individual and a strong team player within the Infrastructure Platform team.

  • You have at least 5 years of experience working as a DevOps Engineer (or a similar role like Software Engineer or Cloud Engineer).

  • You have proven experience in architecting systems based on both functional and non-functional requirements.

Your qualifications

You should be proficient in, or have solid knowledge of:

  • Container Orchestration and Containerization technologies (Kubernetes, Docker);

  • Experience with Service Mesh technologies, specifically Istio (for traffic management, security, and observability of microservices).

  • Linux based systems;

  • Public Clouds (we use Amazon Web Services);

  • Continuous Integration, Delivery & Deployments (Jenkins, Github Actions);

  • Cloud Orchestration, Automation & Service configuration (preferably Terraform and Ansible);

  • Monitoring/Alerting (ELK, Cloudwatch, Prometheus, Grafana);

  • Data Engines (SQL, NoSQL, OpenSearch, AWS S3);

  • Programming Languages (we mainly use Scala (Akka/Pekko, CATS Effects…), Python, and Java);

We are open to reviewing strong candidates who do not meet all these preferred qualifications/skills but demonstrate potential to learn them on the job.

What we offer:
  • An exciting position in an international agile organization and expansive entrepreneurial freedom with strong growth potential;

  • Company laptop (Apple gear);

  • Unlimited vacation policy;

  • Competitive remuneration;

  • Lots of opportunities to learn and develop your skills (Conferences, LinkedIn Learning, Courses, etc…)

  • Free in-office lunch and drinks (when in Office);

  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
