Job Description

Job Title: Software Engineer 

Duration: 6 month (Could go beyond)

Primary Objective:

• Develop & support Delivery pipeline of windows images (CM via Chef, image mgmt via packer/boxcutter or alternative) from AWS to remote devices running Linux (CM via chef) via ZFS snapshot replication.

• Experience managing & scripting Linux hardware servers.

• Experience with unreliable network environments.

• Develop automated testing for process to improve availability & reduce variance.

• Contribute to Synthetic Monitoring effort using NewRelic Synthetic Pro to detect failures on hybrid cloud solution.

Qualifications

• Engineering skills to accelerate critical software encapsulation WIN to UX for hosted and cloud infra with new product releases. 

• Linux Administration (Ubuntu) to include advanced firewall configuration, ZFS, performance analysis, repeatable on-metal deployment, monitoring. 

• Certificate management, Chef Development, Packer/Boxcutter experience to automate image deployment & versioning. 

• Brilliant Manufacturing skills to include CD/CI experience automated infra testing and NewRelic Synthetics Pro

• MUST have a BS in Computer science or equivalent
