We are looking for motivated and talented Industrial Designers to join our growing award-winning design team at SharkNinja. As an Industrial Design Manager, you will lead design activities from concept development to product realization and collaborate with a team of designers, engineers and marketeers to create and deliver innovative, human-centered product experiences for the home that delight consumers and drive business results.

Ninja Design is a team of Industrial Designers, UI and CMF Designers working on products across the Ninja brand.

Responsibilities:

• Practice user-centered design approach to translate consumer insights into meaningful product solutions that will delight consumers both on an emotional/experiential and functional level
• Develop and refine design for consumer products from concept to production
• Conceptualize and visualize concepts through high quality sketches, illustration and renderings
• Generate high quality and suitable materials for presentation
• Deliver clean, well-built CAD packages to Engineering and Manufacturing
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team to innovate design solutions
• Solve complex problems creatively
• Understand SharkNinja's brands and help define the company’s future product development strategies
• Drive innovative approaches through emerging product trends or new technologies
• Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards
• Demonstrate a high level of knowledge on full product development cycle with ability to navigate through technical and business constraints for achieving the best possible quality outcomes
• Lead ID development tasks across multiple projects
• Coach designers and set clear expectations
• Shape strategic approaches in product development processes
• Prioritize and define design tasks based on project needs and timeline
• Facilitate design reviews and identify areas for refinement throughout product development cycle

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design or similar discipline
• 7+ years of experience working as a designer in small appliances, consumer electronics, medical, or a related field
• 2D skills via sketching, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.
• Proficiency with CAD – Solidworks or Rhino required
• Proficiency with 3D rendering programs such as Keyshot
• Strong detail orientation with ability to work quickly without compromising quality
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
• Ability to plan and manage multiple projects
• Proven track record for delivering products through production
• Ability to work independently, own the entire development process with minimal supervision or guidance
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering and part design
• Strong analytical thinking that leads to creative solutions and innovative ideas
• Ability to critique and evolve every aspect of the design
• Ability to act as innovation catalyst in ambiguity and move projects towards objective driven outcomes
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong team player
