We're looking for an Senior Designer to join SharkNinja’s Creative Team. The ideal candidate should be versatile and able design, think and work across all platforms for all of the SharkNinja brands. A good candidate has a robust knowledge of branding, advertising and social media, and is ready to roll their sleeves up and get to work. She/he is curious, conceptual, driven and versatile. As a member of the Creative Department, the Senior Designer will develop conceptual ideas and designs for everything for all in-store instances including packaging and displays. Ability to jump into digital design work (social campaigns, videos, websites, apps, and email) is a plus. Experience and a passion for bringing product stories to life and creating brand loyalty is a must.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Brand Marketing, Product, Digital and Creative team members from beginning stages to final execution for ongoing and seasonal in-store visuals.
  • Present product concepts and mocked-up visuals to senior executives; iterate with direct cross-functional feedback.
  • Influence cross-functional teams (Brand Marketing, Product Marketing, Engineering, and Quality) to develop product concepts, including: manifestos, product definitions, and marketing campaigns
  • Ensure creative consistency across channels
  • Support Creative/Brand team in developing Brand guidelines
  • Provide art direction and feedback to junior team members and freelancers
  • Support department when needed across a range of projects (while primary focus is in-store creative, there may be times when he/she needs to roll up his/her sleeves and help with things like presentations, marketing campaigns, and digital creative) 

Required Skills, Mindset, and Functional Expertise:

  • An impressive portfolio with a demonstration of creative problem solving skills across a range of mediums, with heavy focus on packaging and in-store display.
  • Understanding of point of purchase, comfortable with current trends, excited about learning new ones,
  • Experience with pre-production, offset, and digital printing.
  • Working understanding of the customers purchasing experience; research, point-of-purchase, out of box experience.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort level with fast-paced, highly iterative environment, with a passion for constantly driving for better answers
  • Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to change and able to drive action in the face of ambiguity
  • Detail- and action-oriented with can-do attitude and “how can we” thinking
  • Open to being challenged and believes constructive feedback drives better results and outcomes
  • Comfort level presenting to, directly communicating with and being challenged by senior leadership
  • Ability to mentor and direct junior designers, production designers
  • Desire to becoming fully versed in our products and be able to conceptually and visually bring them to life
  • Maintaining focus on the consumer; so that all product communication is as consistent and impactful as possible

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years agency or creative department experience
  • Depth of printing experience and current with latest techniques and best-practices
  • Proficient with the Adobe CS family of programs
