Design and engineer aluminum partitions and facade glazing systems with thermal breaks. Develop custom extrusion-ready profiles, integrate hardware and milling requirements, create precise 3D CAD models (SolidWorks/Kompas-3D), and produce production documentation including tolerance calculations, assembly diagrams, cutting lists, and BOMs.
Crystalia Glass LLC is a leading supplier of premium glass and aluminum structures for residential and commercial projects across North America. Our clients include SpaceX, Nike, Starbucks, Bank of America, Yves Saint Laurent, and many others.
The company was founded in 2017 in New York and is rapidly growing. We have offices in Los Angeles, Florida, and Texas, and our projects are implemented throughout the United States.
We are looking for a Design Engineer for Aluminum Systems —
a specialist with a strong understanding of aluminum profile design, extrusion principles, and the specifics of assembling aluminum structures.
- System Development: Design and engineer new interior aluminum partitions and facade glazing systems with integrated thermal break solutions.
- Profile Engineering: Develop custom aluminum profiles, ensuring they meet structural requirements and extrusion feasibility.
- Hardware Integration: Design the integration of fittings and hardware, specifying exact attachment methods, milling, and cutting requirements.
- 3D Modeling & CAD: Create high-precision 3D models of components and complex assemblies in SolidWorks (or Kompas-3D).
- Production Support: Prepare technical documentation for production launch, including tolerance calculations, assembly diagrams, and cutting lists.
- Technical Detailing: Bridge the gap between design and manufacturing by calculating precise tolerances and fitments.
Requirements
- English B2, Russian/Ukrainian B2
- 3+ years of experience in engineering aluminum systems (facades, storefronts, or interior partitions).
- Proven track record of designing aluminum profiles from scratch (solid knowledge of extrusion technology).
- Strong experience with thermal break solutions.
- Deep understanding of hardware integration, milling, and mechanical attachments.
- Advanced skills in SolidWorks or Kompas-3D (complex 3D modeling & assemblies).
- Experience creating production-ready drawings (tolerance calculations, cutting lists, BOMs).
- Degree in Mechanical/Civil Engineering or a related technical field.
Benefits
- Full-time, remote work (open to discuss part-time)
- 8-hour workday (flexible start time)
- paid vacation days
- Contract format: B2B (Individual entrepreneur or Corporate Entity)
- Participation in large-scale and custom architectural projects in the USA
