Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Systems provides actionable intelligence for our warfighters and decision makers through innovative technical solutions from the seas to the stars.
The Adaptive Communications & Sensing (AC&S) Product Line has revenue exceeding $S00M annually, across multiple sites and almost 1000 employees across the globe. The Deputy is a trusted partner to the Product Line Director leading a geographically distributed leadership team delivering business growth, business process improvement, and financial results. The Deputy Product Line Director will be responsible for driving business strategy and operations across multiple product areas and business models while collaborating with product area directors and functional leaders for business success.
The position reports directly to the AC&S Product Line director and is based at our at our Wayne, NJ Fort Wayne, IN or Hudson, NH facility.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of the AC&S five-year integrated business planning process, identifying growth strategies, investment requirements, operational improvements, and staffing plans.
  • Lead development of the annual AC&S financial planning, business salient commitments and quarterly business updates.
  • Consistently deliver predictable financial results that meet or beat current year operating plan.
  • Set strategic direction of the product areas to continue driving new capabilities directions to capture emerging customer needs while dealing with competitive threats.
  • Actively manage the AC&S portfolio of product areas and programs to ensure effective program execution and delivery of customer commitments and financial results across the product life-cycle and multiple contract types.
  • As the program management authority of the product line, continually drive improvements in program management methods and rigor. Drive effective customer relations, contract management, supply chain management, and risk & opportunity management to deliver on commitments while creating a culture of program management excellence.
  • Drive talent acquisition, development and retention efforts to increase the depth of talent and competencies in program leadership and management.
  • Pursuit of market expansion, partnerships, and potential acquisitions that will drive the growth and competitive position.
  • Build an organization that is constantly meeting aggressive goals based on a culture of teamwork, candor, and accountability across product lines and functions.
  • Ensure that all compliance and regulatory processes are consistently implemented with efficiency and integrity.
  • Effectively communicate with clear, concise messaging at all levels of the organization.
  • Provide for a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety objectives and policies.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • A bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related discipline and at least 15+ years' experience working in a leadership role developing and delivering technology solutions in DOD and/or Commercial environments.
  • Experience leading technical and program teams through all phases of the lifecycle on large, complex programs with responsibility for all aspects of program objectives as well as business performance, including experience leading P&L and growth for a portfolio of programs.
  • Experience working closely with government, commercial, and international clients for requirements development and creating, bidding, and negotiating winning proposals.
  • Experience building and leading large, high-performing teams, including leadership of leaders; strong coaching and mentoring skills with the ability to achieve results through others and a focus on inclusive leadership.
  • Strong business acumen in managing financial performance and proven success identifying growth areas and developing new business strategic plans aligned with the company's growth objectives. Experience leading large and complex, competitive captures is a positive.
  • Demonstrated experience establishing and building customer relationships as well as the ability to collaborate within and across organizational boundaries.
  • Must be a skilled communicator with the ability to influence at executive levels internally and externally and shape the image of a complex organization. Ability to negotiate at a high level with internal and external customers and partners.
  • Possesses exemplary risk and opportunity management skills as well as thorough knowledge of program management best practices, government contracting, current acquisition trends and customer and competitor behaviors.
  • Must possess and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret / SCI.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Master's degree in business or engineering, or a related field with a background in technology development (MBA preferred).
  • Understanding of the industry trends, risks and threats in the AC&S market.
  • PMI PMP or DAWIA program management certification or equivalent.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification or equivalent.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $169630 - $288370
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
