Fathom is on a mission to eliminate the billions of dollars of administrative waste in US healthcare. We're starting with one of its most expensive, labor-intensive workflows: medical coding. Using AI, we automate the translation of clinical notes into the billing codes used for provider reimbursement—a process that costs US hospitals $15B+ annually, plus tens of billions more in errors and denied claims.
The result is healthcare that spends less time and money on administration and more on what actually matters: patients. KLAS named us the #1 emerging technology for reducing the cost of care, and many of the nation's largest health systems, health plans, and physician groups rely on us to do it.
We're a Series B company backed by Lightspeed, Founders Fund, and CVS Health—taking on hard problems at the frontier of AI and healthcare, where getting it right has real consequences. We're scaling fast and looking for exceptional people who want their work to matter.
About the roleYou will join our Client Success and Strategy (CSS) team and own the lifecycle for a portfolio of strategic clients: deployment, go-live, adoption, retention, and expansion. You will be measured on client referenceability, time from contract to go-live, and your contribution to building Fathom.
You own real outcomes from day one, with the autonomy to decide how. The work is ambiguous and oversight is limited. It is also demanding: expect days to run 10+ hours, and clients sometimes need you on nights and weekends. In return, you get a scope, level of trust, and development-by-doing that few roles offer.
You will:
Own client relationships from end users to executives.
Lead deployments from kickoff to go-live, including writing the technical requirements for configuration and integration.
Drive adoption and expansion within your accounts.
Build the process, tooling, and AI-powered systems that scale Fathom.
You take ownership. Your clients and responsibilities are yours to run. You drive results. When something breaks, you fix it.
You keep your word. Teammates and clients count on you, and when things go wrong, you make it right.
You move fast, with urgency and optimism.
You build systems that solve problems once, and you see how the pieces connect.
You care about every client interaction and sweat the details others overlook.
You use AI daily and are excited to push what’s possible.
4+ years in solutions engineering, integrations engineering, business operations, management consulting, investment banking, or technical account management.
Epic and healthcare integration experience.
Track record of independently owning complex, high-stakes client relationships.
Daily use of AI tools (LLMs, automation) in your own work.
Working proficiency in SQL, Python, using HL7; able to troubleshoot software and debug integrations.
Strong written and verbal communication.
Preferred: revenue cycle background; high-growth startup experience; based in New York City.
Competitive compensation, including salary, equity, 401K matching.
$150K–$250K base salary.
Comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision.
Opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI technology with real-world impact.
Senior team of talent dense operators.
Environment of high ownership and autonomy where your work directly shapes outcomes.
