The Team:

As part of the Deal Operations team, you will be reporting to the Director of North America Deal Desk. You will establish trusted working relationships and collaborate globally with teams within Celonis that contribute to the structuring and execution of Software and Services deals, working closely with the GTM team, Deal Desk, Legal as well as Security and Finance Operations.

The Role:

As a Deal Desk Analyst you will be responsible for managing the presales and post sales customer proposals regarding standard and nonstandard deals, ensuring that the deal is processed smoothly and in line with both customer requirements as well as Celonis standards.

The work you’ll do:

  • Act as a key point of contact for Celonis GTM teams Serve as a partner and trusted adviser to the Celonis Sales team on strategic contracting activities and deal structuring; advise on alternatives, possible ramifications, value propositioning, as well as recommendations and presentations of customer facing documentation to help guide deal closing.
  • Recognize and act upon education opportunities, augmenting the documentation, and delivering enablement targeted at sales, while improving the customer facing material.
  • Produce and present customer vendor registrations cases alongside Sales, maximizing the value for our customers.
  • Collaborate with other team members, and internal stakeholders to lead process improvements connected to deal support, sales enablement, and knowledge management.
  • Champion deal or agreement reviews and approvals with stakeholders using defined processes and systems such as documenting final contract summaries and price justifications to ensure forward deal momentum, as well as handling escalations, and resolving issues.
  • Enforce the corporate approval framework and associated policies.
  • Work cross-functionally to develop and enhance customer buying programs that are designed to fit the purchasing needs of our customers.

The qualifications you need:

  • A University Degree in Business, Law, Economics or similar.
  • An understanding of contractual concepts and basic familiarity with standard legal terms.
  • A clear business focus, thriving for commercially beneficial outcomes (“deal making attitude”).
  • The ability to identify problems and discrepancies, independently perform research and analysis of causes, and recommend corrective actions.
  • A collaborative style with the ability to communicate clearly and precisely on operational issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, any additional language is a plus.
  • Work in a structured manner and quickly comprehend new topics and interrelationships.
