Full-Time Salary Range: $95106 - $161680
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

- Designing, developing, and optimizing data storage and retrieval solutions to meet the demanding needs of government stakeholders and advanced financial data analytics projects.
- Building and maintaining robust data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and storage of data from diverse sources, ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Architecting and implementing database solutions that support complex data analysis, machine learning, and visualization efforts.
- Optimizing database performance through query tuning, indexing strategies, and other advanced techniques to ensure efficient data access and processing.
- Collaborating with project manager, functional support leads, and software engineers to understand data requirements and implement appropriate database solutions.
- Contributing to Research & Development (R&D) efforts focused on solving pressing data management challenges in the Defense Industry.
- Ensuring the security and compliance of data systems in accordance with government regulations and BAE Systems policies.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 4+ years of experience in database engineering.
- Deep experience with relational databases (SQL developer and Oracle SQL developer preferred)
- Strong proficiency in database design, development, and administration using relational and/or graph database technologies.
- Proven experience in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database scripts.
- Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
- Competency in programming languages such as Python, Java, etc., for data manipulation and automation.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary project team.
- Basic appreciation of emerging technology trends such as cloud computing and data engineering best practices.
- Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a Secret level clearance.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Highly desired) Experience with database performance tuning, optimization, and scaling.
- Experience with data integration tools and techniques.
- Experience with data security and compliance standards.
- Experience with developing APIs for data access and manipulation.
- Experience working on DoD programs.
- Already holds active Secret level clearance.
