As an Engineer you will be directly responsible for many of the innovative features we'll be working on, and your contributions will directly impact the future of health care.
TheCloud Database Engineerisahighly motivated and detail-oriented team player, that worksin concert withSite Reliability Engineers and Software Engineers to manage, monitor, design, and optimizecritical production databases. TheCloud Database Engineerwill combine deep experience with bothRelational and Document-based databaseswith some software engineering skills toautomate data maintenanceactivitiesand develop tools to sustain the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities include:

• Optimize database performance.
• Increase adoption of cloud-native data services.
• Migrate data sets.
• Compliance reporting.
• Dissecting and Documenting existing data workflows.
• Deleting customer data from large production database at regular intervals.
• Identifying who has access to the database.
• Helping build the structure and design of the database.
• Troubleshooting performance problems.
• Implementing security measures for the data.
• Restoring lost data.
• Building test versions and testing for bugs.
• Merging databases when necessary.
• Updating systems when necessary and creating data backups.
• Continually monitoring database systems.

Education:BS in computer science or information systems, industry recognized certification, or equivalent experience.
Number of Years of Work Experience: 5+ years
Required Skills:

• Strong relational databases and SQL experience.
• Thorough attention to detail.
• Ability to extract insight from large datasets.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Written and oral communication skills.
• Interpersonal skills.
• Thorough understanding of computer systems and operating systems.
• Ability to write scripts to automate database tasks.
• Cloud Technologies experience is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience withvarious RDBMS and noSQL databases, including:Cosmos DB, MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory.
• Experience with Agile Scrum.
• Experience with HL7/FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resource)
• Experience in Healthcare setting.
• Comfortable with self-organizing teams and giving/accepting feedback.
