Reporting and Research Associate

THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Reporting and Research Data is a new department under the Outreach umbrella of ActBlue. The four departments under that, in addition to Reporting and Research are: Democratic Politics and Elections (DPE); Training; Movement, Issue and Charitable Organizations (MICO); and Partnerships. This role will embed in the assigned turf and programs, working as a partner within the MICO Department.
While this staff member will report to the Reporting and Research Department, their primary role will be to provide reporting and specific research needs to their assignments. Under the Reporting and Research team, they will continue to increase their expertise with the most up to date techniques and ActBlue platforms and tools, as well as use customer relationship management tools to house, analyze, and track progress to goals and relationships. This work will be largely internal facing and work with data specific to account management and ActBlue platform analytics. Research responsibilities will vary according to assigned turf and needs and will be largely focused on helping relationship building and account management staff reach their goals.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Serve as a strategic data partner to assigned teams;
- Work in conjunction with various department leadership to set up data benchmarks according to programmatic goals and strategy;
- Execute Reporting and Research Data plan according to assigned department goals, strategy and turf;
- Train and provide support to various Outreach Departments on how to use pertinent reporting tools;
- Provide data and insight for assessment on programs to Reporting and Research leadership;
- Work as part of a team across departments to help provide data needed to monitor progress to goal;
- Work with Reporting and Research leadership to align systems across departments and help set expectations;
- Act as a data specialist and as a resource to the assigned team when they have questions about internal data or research;
- Maintain CRM and other information tracking systems;
- Serve as an advocate and feedback loop to Reporting and Research on behalf of programs assigned;
- Work with Outreach Associates to provide data expertise and assistance to external partners when needed;
- Work outside of regular business hours (i.e., 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM) as required;
- Travel as required;
- Other projects as needed.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- 1-3 years working in political, issue, or nonprofit campaigns and/or organizations;
- Experience working in a fast paced, problem solving role preferred;
- Self-starter mentality: capable of working independently;
- Clear written and verbal communications skill set;
- Strong organizational skills including follow through on projects;
- Familiarity with BI tools, such as Looker or Tableau preferred;
- Ability to multi-task various projects at one time;
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion;
- Extremely organized and detail oriented.
LOCATION AND COMPENSATION:
This is a fully remote, full-time, salaried position. We are authorized to support remote work in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, Washington DC, and Wisconsin.
ActBlue offers generous, competitive compensation, and provides fully paid and trans-inclusive health, dental, and vision insurance and an employer-sponsored 401k contribution plan. ActBlue will also provide the technology and hardware needed to do the job.
Salary Range: $55,000 - $70,000 based on experience.
