Job Description
The Opportunity:
We, at Flywire, are seeking an Analytics Engineer to join our Analytics team and further scale our data driven company.
As an Analytics Engineer, you will bridge the gap between Data Engineering and Reporting to enable our end users to make the most of our data. The Analytics Engineer will handle data from all areas of the company and succeed through the following responsibilities:
- Own and manage our dbt environment
- Productionalize complex logic and queries into “gold standard” datasets
- Migrate existing Looker PDTs over to dbt models
- Optimize dbt models for efficiency, clarity, and scalability
- Remove and reduce technical debt and automate manual operations
- Treat data as a product and enforce testing to catch issues before they reach users
- Work with and support company wide data science/ML initiatives
- Become subject matter expert to support all business segments
- Work with engineering and product teams to understand and model our event data
- Be an avenue of change by identifying opportunities when analyzing data
Qualifications
Here’s What We’re Look For:
- Bachelor Degree in Mathematics, Economics, or Computer Science
- 1-4 years of experience in an Analytics, Reporting, or Data Engineering role
- Proficiency in SQL
- Experience with a cloud data warehouse (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift)
- Experience with dbt
- Ability to communicate and follow up with internal stakeholders in a timely manner and excellent attention to detail.
- Experience with Python and Docker is preferred

Our Hiring Process:
