Job Responsibilities
- Monitor and troubleshoot data jobs across multiple data platforms.
- Troubleshoot issues arising from data loads.
- Interact with upstream and downstream data systems.
- Engage with development teams throughout the lifecycle to troubleshoot issues in production and non-production environments.
- Troubleshoot priority incidents, facilitate blameless post-mortems, and ensure permanent closure of incidents.
- Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data to fix production issues.
- Work on builds and pipelines to deploy applications.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with strong ownership, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Hands-on AWS experience or cloud certifications.
- Experience deploying and supporting micros services and cloud-based applications.
- Experience with continuous integration/development toolkits like GIT/Subversion/Jenkins/Sonar.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Intermediate understanding in at least one technology stack or programming language (Java/Python/Scala).
- Experience maintaining a cloud-based infrastructure.
- Familiarity with site reliability concepts, principles, and practices.
