The Anduril Imaging team develops state-of-the-art infrared imaging systems, deployed to tackle the most significant security challenges of America and its allies. The Imaging team is seeking a Data Scientist for the WISP, Iris, and future products to analyze and mine field and simulation data to help identify ways to further improve those systems to impact mission success.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Perform exploratory data analysis of test data to determine drivers of sensor performance and mission success
- Develop performance score cards/dashboards to summarize track accuracy and continuity metrics as well as isolate error sources
- Develop data analytics tool to predict detection range performance under current weather conditions based on past data
- Develop robust classifiers utilizing computer vision, target dynamics and other available information sources
- Determine kill chain work flow bottlenecks for various system of systems utilizing the detection capabilities of WISP
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of experience
- Python (NumPy, SciPy, pandas), and/or MATLAB, SQL
- Estimation Theory & Convex Optimization
- Data Visualization (e.g. Plotly, Matplotlib)
- Experience working with image and time series data
- Classical Filters (Kalman, EKF, Unscented)
- Ability to think at a system level - strong physics or math background
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Machine Learning techniques
- Familiarity with C++
- Experience with Nix
- Experience with thermal imaging
- Possess an active U.S. Security clearance
US Salary Range
$138,000—$207,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
