As a Full Stack Java/React Developer - Data Scientist Lead in the Consumer and Community Banking Operations at JPMorganChase, you will be an integral part of an agile team that enhances, builds, and delivers trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you will lead critical solutions across multiple technical areas and business functions bridging full-stack engineering with data-driven insights to advance the firm's business objectives.

The CCB Data & Analytics team responsibly leverages data across Chase to build competitive advantages for the businesses while providing value and protection for customers. As a Full Stack Java/React Developer - Data Scientist Lead in the Consumer and Community Banking Operations at JPMorganChase, you will be an integral part of an agile team that enhances, builds, and delivers trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you will lead critical solutions across multiple technical areas and business functions bridging full-stack engineering with data-driven insights to advance the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using Java, SpringBoot, Microservices, and React Micro frontends
- Design and implement cloud-based applications on AWS, specifically utilizing AWS ECS
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment using DevOps practices
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with designers, product owners, and back-end engineers to create user-friendly, visually appealing, and performance-optimized interfaces
- Apply CI/CD and DevOps best practices to streamline build, test, and deployment processes
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years applied experience
- Proven expertise in Java, SpringBoot, Microservices, React Micro frontends, AWS ECS, and DevOps
- Strong experience with database technologies including AWS RDS, Oracle, and Aurora PostgreSQL
- Hands-on data engineering experience with AWS Glue, Spring Batch for ETL pipelines, and PySpark
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, including tools like Jenkins and Spinnaker
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with individuals across the globe
- Demonstrated experience in leading engineering teams and managing projects
- Experience collaborating in Agile/Scrum development environments
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in working with diverse teams and contributing to an inclusive work environment
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and practices
- Knowledge of banking operations and data
- Understanding of AI principles with practical experience in incorporating AI-driven solutions into user interfaces
- Ability to understand agentic frameworks including prompting, workflows, tools along with experience with Python
- Experience gathering requirements for projects and crafting/refining user stories
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm for working in a multicultural environment along with open-mindedness and adaptability to different perspectives and ideas
