Position Summary
Leads and participates in the development of various provider and member outreach programs run across the US to promote drug safety and increase access to drugs and drive better health outcomes.

  • Collaborates with business partners to understand their problems and goals, develops hypothesis and translates business problems to data problems, performs descriptive / diagnostic analytics to validate hypothesis and quantify business problem / opportunity.
  • Use strong knowledge in algorithms and predictive models to investigate problems, detect patterns and recommend solutions.
  • Partners closely with data engineers, marketers, and business teams to develop targeting pipelines (models) and execute outreach programs. Responsible for the day to day monitoring and operations.
  • Employs advance techniques for developing randomized control trials and statistical / causal inference analysis, accept / reject hypothesis tests to measure program impact and make recommendations.
  • Develops and participates in presentations and consultations to existing and prospective constituents on analytics results and solutions.
  • Develops and/or uses algorithms and statistical predictive models and determines analytical approaches and modeling techniques to evaluate scenarios and potential future outcomes.
  • Performs analyses of structured and unstructured data to solve multiple and/or complex business problems utilizing advanced statistical techniques and mathematical analyses and broad knowledge of the organization and/or industry.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in generating business insights and applying statistical/machine-learning models
  • 2+ years of experience coding in Python or similar programming language
  • 2+ year experience with SQL
  • Demonstrates good written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to present information to various audiences
  • Excellent and structured approach to problem solving & critical thinking ability
  • Effectively resolves problems and roadblocks as they occur
  • Demonstrated proficiency in several areas of data modeling, machine learning algorithms, statistical analysis, data engineering and data visualization

Responsibilities

  • This role falls within the Consumer Analytics organization and will focus on running pharmacy related programs with drive better health outcomes. The role is aligned with the Aetna insurance business but we bring enterprise view.
  • This team works with business partners (pharmacy, clinicians, legal, marketing) to understand their goals and objectives and improve member's health.
  • The ideal candidate will be a flexible collaborator and team player who can contribute to all phases of the project including data preparation, data cleaning and interpretation, analysis, model building, quality assessments and presentation of results.
  • Developing data structures and pipelines to organize, collect and standardize data that helps generate insights and addresses reporting needs
  • Hypothesis tests, causal inference analysis using various techniques (randomized control trials, A/B tests).
  • Developing, validating and executing algorithms and predictive models to investigate problems, detect patterns and recommend solutions
  • Using data visualization techniques to effectively communicate analytical results and support business decision
  • Exploring, examining and interpreting large volumes of data in various forms
  • Exploring existing data and recommends additional sources of data for improvements. Performing analyses of structured and unstructured data to solve moderately complex business problems

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or related discipline. Masters Preferred.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$72,100.00 - $173,040.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
