Data Science Intern - Summer 2025

Strategic Risk Solutions Inc (SRS), a leading insurance company management firm, is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Science Intern to join the team. This position will work closely with other members of the Data Science team to ensure accuracy and completeness of data sets.  

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Will work on relational database design (table schemas, relationships, indexing/partitioning) 

• Collaborate with the team to deliver high quality analysis within project scope and timeframes 

• Will work on building data pipelines in Azure Data Factory 

• Will work on large data sets to extract, clean, and transform unstructured data 

• Assist with development, testing, and implementation of data models to identify patterns, trends and actionable insights (Descriptive, Predictive, & Prescriptive Analytics) 

Attributes and Skills: 

• Current enrollment in Bachelor’s degree program with strong educational or experiential foundation in Math, Computer Science or Data Analysis 

• Experience and comfort with programming languages such as T-SQL, Python, DAX, HTML, and Visual Basic/Office Scripts 

• Experience with Power Apps and Data Bricks 

• Understanding of AI technical developments 

• Knowledge of cloud computing fundamentals, ideally MicroSoft Azure architecture, services, management, and governance 

• Knowledge of PowerBi, Power Automate, and Power Query 

• Passion for solving complex problems through data 

• Proactive communicator with strong attention to detail.
