About Workstreet

At Workstreet, we’re on an exciting journey to help businesses scale securely by designing and implementing cutting-edge
security and compliance programs. As a fast-growing startup, we specialize in a wide range of frameworks—including SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, CMMC, NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, and FedRAMP—empowering companies to meet regulatory requirements and enhance their cybersecurity posture from day one.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Data Manager to own the health, accuracy, and usability of data across our systems. This is a hands-on role at a growing startup where you'll be the go-to person for keeping our CRM (HubSpot) running cleanly, building automations that save the team hours of manual work, and delivering reporting that actually drives decisions. You'll work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, operations, and leadership—so being comfortable juggling priorities from multiple stakeholders is a must.
What matters most is that you're resourceful, curious, and quick to pick up new tools and techniques. Startup experience is required—you know what it's like to wear multiple hats and figure things out on the fly.

What you'll do

CRM Management, Reporting, and Data Hygiene (Primary – 50%)

  • Manage and maintain data integrity across HubSpot and connected platforms, ensuring records are clean, deduplicated, and up to date.
  • Build and optimize HubSpot workflows, sequences, and automations to streamline operations and reduce manual processes.
  • Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and recurring data pulls for stakeholders across sales, marketing, and leadership.
  • Develop and enforce data governance standards, including naming conventions, property management, and lifecycle stage definitions.
  • Audit and troubleshoot data issues proactively—catch problems before they compound.
  • Own integrations between HubSpot and other tools in the stack (e.g., Zapier, Segment, spreadsheets, or internal databases).
  • Support ad hoc data requests and analysis for cross-functional teams, translating raw data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Document processes, SOPs, and system configurations so the team isn't reliant on tribal knowledge.

Who You Are

  • Approximately 5 years of professional experience in data management, CRM administration, reporting, or a closely related function.
  • Strong working knowledge of HubSpot (required)—including custom properties, workflows, lists, reports, and integrations.
  • Experience building business process automations and maintaining data hygiene across multiple platforms.
  • Proven track record working in a startup or high-growth environment where creativity and adaptability are essential.
  • Comfortable reporting to and communicating with multiple stakeholders who may have competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail—you spot inconsistencies others miss.
  • A fast learner who is comfortable picking up new tools, platforms, and processes without extensive hand-holding.
  • Clear communicator who can translate data concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with in-app reporting tools and GSheets / Excel-Based Reporting

Nice To Have

  • Experience with BI tools.
  • Competency with SQL and lightweight scripting (Python, Apps Script).
  • Experience with integrations and data mapping.
  • Background in B2B Compliance, SaaS or AI-centric technology startups.

Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
