What’s the role?
**This is a 12-month contract position. You will be an Independent Consultant**
We are looking for a Data Integrations Consultant who is accountable for service delivery of data integrations between Modern Campus’ solutions and our client’s Student Information System (SIS), as well as other client applications. This role will define and refine the scope of work for integration projects, provide project and change management, data and business rule discovery and alignment, and documentation of the client’s environment. This role will operate in a lean-agile services process.
- Serve as primary point of contact for scheduling, scope confirmation, documentation and delivering and/or receiving materials of integration projects from clients.
- Establish and maintain a deep understanding of Modern Campus software and professional services offerings.
- Work with clients to perform end-to-end data mappings between Modern Campus products and the client’s SIS, building a data dictionary.
- Document client business rules applicable to the SIS environment
- Determine the synchronous/asynchronous communication relationship between the SIS and Modern Campus application.
- Drive data discovery efforts and creation of the data dictionary that defines the client’s customized environment and all data requirements between systems.
- Create user stories based on data discovery efforts for engineer to build integration plug-in.
- Troubleshoots integration configuration, SQL, CSV, XML, JSON data as anticipatory measures for data and communication impediments.
- Guide clients using a change control process to minimize project scope creep.
- Performs pretest, creates test plan for user acceptance testing for the client, and reviews and documents testing errors and process.
- Provide clients with data cleansing opportunities as a result of the data discovery process.
- Responsible for serving as a resource answering questions related to the client projects.
- Provide client support until activation and completion of the project.

The salary range* for this full-time position is between $60,000 - $100,000. - Remote first workplace – we work remotely, and you are located anywhere in North America!
What you offer…
- University degree or College diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology and/or relevant work experience
- 3+ years of experience in a Data Integration role
- 2+ years' experience in end of end data mapping desired on integration projects.
- Previous experience in higher education
- Strong knowledge of Student Information Systems.
- Critical thinker with proven success in providing solutions to solve business issues
- Self-motivated, high energy results oriented contributor who thrives in a fast-paced setting.
- Data oriented approach to problem solving with strong critical thinking skills.
- Extremely organized with strong time management and prioritization skills
- Attention to accuracy and detail in all contributions including written and spoken communications.
- Ability to build rapport and relationships quickly and develop trust with others.
- Ability to listen, understand, anticipate client needs.
- Able to multi-task and deal with shifting priorities
- Demonstrated aptitude for constantly learning new technologies.
