That’s where you come in! The Data Integration Associate is responsible for assisting with the design, development, execution and maintenance of data integration processes. The ideal candidate is a goal-oriented, focused individual who has exceptional communication skills with the ability to execute data management tasks in a timely manner. In a world where the speed of change is forever increasing, being successful in this position requires the ability to assess and process data.
- Work closely with the information technology and business teams to understand data collection requirements and methods
- Collaborate with data management peers, analyzing data collected and streamline data load processes
- Ensure delivery targets and SLAs are met
- Communicate issues/delays proactively to management to avoid delays in collecting and/or processing data
- Execute and/or develop processes for data validation/QC
- Resolve and/or communicate data issues to management for guidance/resolution
- Develop Cloud Services Data Pipeline jobs for loading data
- Promote data through staging environments
- BS in related field and/or at least 1 year experience in the role analyzing and processing data
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and/or Google for Business Applications
- Experience with Salesforce, Jira, etc. or other similar business applications
- Working knowledge of T-SQL (strongly preferred)
- Basic Programming: Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Snowflake) or a willingness to learn quickly. Python: Widely used for data automation, scripting, and building data pipelines due to its versatility. SQL: Essential for querying, manipulating, and managing data within relational databases.
- Data Manipulation: Understanding of basic data manipulation techniques and tools (SQL and/or spreadsheets).
- Scripting: Beginner capability to read and write scripts (often in Python) for automating repetitive tasks, data extraction, or loading processes.
- Data Transformation: Skill in converting data from one format or structure to another, often to meet specific requirements for analysis or processing.
- Communication:
- Clear and Concise Communication: Ability to explain technical concepts and automation processes in simple terms to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Active Listening: Attentively listening to understand data requirements, feedback, and potential issues in the automation process.
- Written Communication: Creating clear and comprehensive documentation for data pipelines, scripts, and processes to ensure maintainability and knowledge transfer.
- Collaboration:
- Teamwork: Working effectively with data scientists, data engineers, and other team members to achieve common goals.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Interacting with different departments (e.g., business, marketing) to gather requirements and ensure automation solutions meet their needs.
- Conflict Resolution: Addressing and resolving disagreements or challenges that may arise during the automation process.
- Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking:
- Analytical Skills: Analyzing complex data problems, identifying root causes, and developing effective solutions.
- Creative Thinking: Coming up with innovative approaches to automate data processes and improve efficiency.
- Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving errors or issues in data pipelines and scripts.
- Adaptability and Learning Agility:
- Openness to Feedback: Willingness to receive and act upon feedback to improve automation solutions.
- Adapting to Change: Embracing new tools, technologies, or processes as needed to meet evolving business requirements.
- Customer Focus: Understanding the needs of end-users and ensuring that automation solutions deliver value and meet their expectations.
Expected Hourly Rate: $30-$37/hr
This is a temporary, hybrid role based out of Chicago, IL, Minneapolis, MN, or Boston, MA. We are anticipating approximately 40 hours/week for 3 months, with the potential to extend or convert to a permanent role.
