Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Lead to drive enterprise-wide data governance initiatives and ensure secure, compliant, and high-quality data management across cloud platforms. Strong hands-on experience with Unity Catalog is mandatory.
The ideal candidate should be a strong communicator, stakeholder manager, and problem solver with the ability to lead cross-functional governance initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise data governance strategy, policies, and standards.
- Manage and implement Unity Catalog for centralized governance and access control.
- Drive data quality, metadata management, lineage, and cataloging initiatives.
- Partner with engineering, analytics, security, and business teams to enforce governance best practices.
- Define data stewardship and ownership frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive governance adoption and resolve challenges.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Data Governance or Data Management.
- Strong hands-on experience with Unity Catalog (Mandatory).
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with metadata management, data lineage, and data quality frameworks.
- Strong SQL and cloud platform knowledge (AWS/Azure/GCP).
